Edale walk – tougher walk taking in some proper hills and valleys and trickier paths to navigate. Not for the “are we nearly there yet brigade?” … but not the real deal either … by a long way!

What is suitable Outdoor Activity Clothing?• NOT JEANS… a waterproof coat … NOT
JEANS… walking boots/shoes (at a push trainers … NOT wellies) … NOT JEANS… something warm if its cold … something cool if its warm (no bare bits to get sunburned!) … NOT JEANS… basically, BE SENSIBLE – it’s not a fashion shoot!
• Oh, and did I mention? NOT JEANS…
DofE Award Expedition Taster

Love Marple (KPi) Enrichment Week Activity
MEET IN ROOM 207 EACH DAY
Our aim for the week is to come up with ideas and designs for improvements that can be made within our locality, particularly in the Memorial Park with
teenagers and young people in mind. We are following guidelines offered by the Local Authority and aiming to come up with a good case for upgrading the skatepark in particular. On Monday 4th July we are going to do a walking tour of Marple to look at the positives and negatives of our local area, so pupils will need to be prepared for wet weather with good shoes and a waterproof as well as bringing a packed lunch with them. The rest of the week we will be in school and we will split into groups. We will be putting together different designs and creating surveys, so that we can get feedback from other young people in the
school.
