Minutes of Monthly Meeting
December 4, 2017
Debbie welcomed everyone and informed us of the activities for the evening. There
were 36 in attendance along with 2 visitors, Kim Cline and Rebecca Oakley. Missy Lee
reported that she deposited $559.00 as profits from our November auction and we
currently have a balance of $5,205.15. Judy Robbins mailed out 8 birthday cards in
November. Judy also mentioned the “live” nativity that will be held at her church,
Shiloh United Methodist Church. Minutes as printed in the November newsletter were
accepted.
Lucy Large shared with us that Brandon and Rankin Quilters have combined their re-
sources to bring in national teacher Diane Knott to teach on scrap quilts, offering two
classes at the same time on Saturday, February 10th. Diane will have a trunk show on
Friday, February 9th at 6:30 at no charge. Your choice of class is $25. Up to 30
students will be accepted. Class and trunk show will be held at the MS State Extension
building. Sewing machines can be brought on Friday night. Checks are to be written
out to either guild. Class information sheets were distributed. Diane Knott’s
website has supply and fabric lists for each class.
There being no other business, Debbie blessed the food and everyone lined
up for a great meal. Afterwards, all participated in the “Right Family”
Christmas game as Lucy Large read the story. After the fun, everyone
viewed the fat quarter they had won, Sew-n-Tell was shared and then the
meeting was adjourned.

Note from the President—
Oh my! What a good meeting last night. First, I want to thank everyone who has made this past year a great success. It is a pleasure to serve with such wonderful, giving la-dies. Second, thanks so much for the monetary gift, it will only be in my hot little hands a short while before it goes the way of sewing/quilting supplies. Go figure! Wishing all of you a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. Enjoy your families and may your joy be overflowing.
