Electoral CollegeElectoral College• Votes are cast by Electoral College members. • Presidential candidates must receive 51% of the
electoral college votes in order to become president.
• The number of Electoral College votes per state is based on the number of members that state has in Congress. • Example: Kansas has 2 Senators and 4
Representatives so Kansas has 6 Electoral College votes.
• Electoral College members are elected from each state.
