The course will attend to aspects of content knowledge through emphasis on connections between mathematical ideas and a sense of mathematical process. Core content areas will include: number systems and properties; operations (including alternate methods of computation); basic number theory (eg. divisibility tests); a survey of geometry (tessellations, shapes, properties, constructions); probability and statistics; measurement; algebra and any other topics pertinent to the current primary mathematical curriculum in Trinidad and Tobago.
