DSF Series Irrigation Valves
from IrriRich IrriRich’s DSF series is innovative plastic valves designed for control of drip and sprinkler irrigation system
for field crops, vineyard and orchard, greenhouse, nursery and landscape applications.
Specially designed for a variety of water control applications, DSF series valves are made out of sturdy,
durable, corrosion resistant, high-quality materials, and produced by our ISO accredited factory, who has

DSF series valves from IrriRich are manufactured in a variety of models: including throttling, pressure
regulating, various end connections, and an optional Built-in 2Wire Decoder/Solenoid (DIAS).

female threaded inlet and outlet or solvent welding), making them amongst the most versatile valves of their

3 Way Control
The control device is used to either admit pressure into
the control chamber to close the valve, or to relief
pressure to the atmosphere to allow the valve to open.
2 Way Electric-Control
A solenoid operator plugs the control chamber’s outlet. A
permanent connection from the upstream through a
labyrinth restriction ensures line pressure into the chamber
closing the valve.
Energizing the solenoid operator opens a drain to the
downstream, allowing the valve to open.
Typical Applications DSF Series Valve Types Available
M Manually Controlled Valve The valve is controlled manually, by a plastic internal bleed lever (* only in 1”) or brass 3-port
selector, that allows the user to select ON-OFF (* only in 1”) or the CLOSED / OPEN / AUTO
(remote controlled) position of the valve. The control is effortless and quick, even under high
pressure conditions.
ED2 2-way Electric Valve Electrically actuated, Normally-CLOSED valve with integral solenoid operator. The valve is
designed for maximum simplicity for greenhouse and field irrigation, controlled by an electronic
controller. Can be supplied with operation using AC, DC, Pulse-DC-Latching or integral 2Wire
decoder (DIAS). Manual override is enabled through an integral switch. < Only with a 2-way 24VAC N.C. solenoid or built-in decoder (DIAS) >
EL(D3) 3-way Electric Valve A 3-way solenoid valve, activated by electric current or an electric pulse (latch), or a built-in decoder,
opens or closes the main valve.
The standard valve is supplied as “Normally CLOSED” (“Normally OPEN” is optional). Electric
actuation can be added to other control applications on request. < Only with a 3-way 24VAC N.O. solenoid or built-in decoder (DIAS) >

PR Pressure Reducing Valve The valve maintains a preset downstream pressure, regardless of upstream pressure or flow rate
fluctuation.
The valve allows full opening when upstream pressure drops below the pressure set-point.
EL/PR Electrically-activated Pressure Reducing Valve Designed to open and regulate downstream pressure to a stable preset value upon electric command from an irrigation controller.
Electric command may be of constant current or pulse, as determined by the controller in use.

Instructions EL/PR Electrically-activated Pressure Reducing Valves
Please refer to following instructions, about how to operate Electrically-activated Pressure Reducing Valves.
1. Always set the Black Plastic Handle of Brass 3-port Selector to "AUTO" position, imprinted on its
Orange Plastic Circular Ring;
2. Connect 2 External Lead Wires of 3-way 24VAC Normally-OPEN Solenoid "3W-R-NO 24VAC" with
electricity to energize it, then our EL/PR valves will be opened automatically;
3. If power shortage even without electricity, you can still open EL/PR valves manually, by turn 180° the
White Plastic Manual Override Switch of 3-way Black Plastic Base factory-installed with solenoid, to
be Upside Down;
4. The Pressure Regulator built inside a Black Plastic Shell attached to EL/PR valves’ edge, is designed to
regulate EL/PR valves’ downstream / outlet pressure to a stable preset value: 2 bar (Default Setting
upon delivery out of our factory);
That means: our EL/PR valves maintain the above preset downstream pressure, regardless of upstream
pressure or flow rate fluctuation;
Our EL/PR valves allow full opening, when upstream pressure drops below the pressure set-point;
Anyway, you can still adjust our EL/PR valves’ outlet pressure up to Another HIGHER Value than 2 bar
default setting, by using a wrench to turn CLOCKWISE (recommended in 90° = 1/4 turn step by step), the
Hexagonal Stainless-steel Bolt (along with 1/8” Male Threaded Stem) on their Pressure Regulators’ Top.
< * Please make sure: EL/PR valves’ inlet / upstream pressure should always be HIGHER than their outlet
/ downstream pressure! >
5. But if you set the Black Plastic Handle of Brass 3-port Selector to "OPEN" or "CLOSE" position, in that
case, 3-way 24VAC Normally-OPEN Solenoid "3W-R-NO 24VAC" will be OUT Of Operation - Useless,
and our EL/PR valves can also be opened or closed MANUALLY.
6. Regarding Built-in 2Wire Decoder (DIAS):
All electric current operated (including EL/PR) valves can instead have a 2 Wire decoder/solenoid (DIAS).
These need just a common 2 conductor path to all valves. There are many controllers and interfaces which
can operate these, please inquire of Tonick Watering for more detailed information.
