Creating More Choice, Doing Things Differently
Hi Folks,
We held our most recent event on the 4th Feb at the new Social Enterprise Hub (the Circle).
An insightful session which included a workshop on alternative types of provisions in terms of
health and wellbeing with updates from Dundee and wider afield, that touched on what
could be loosely termed ‘Social Innovation’. We hope to continue with these types of events
and also facilitating visits to/from other projects initiatives. Please let me know if you have
any particular things that you would like know more of and to take forward.

Deborah Chapman co-created How it Felt as a student project which
now may help many young people with mental health and disabilities to
have a voice to talk about their conditions. This new social enterprise,
help from Dundee Social Enterprise Network via the Dundee Futures
Fund, introduces young people the creativity of puppet making, opens
opportunities to explore their experiences, feelings and anxieties and
provides a medium to explain them to others.
“Its life affirming to work with young people to help them communicate
what a day in their lives can be like.”
