JobsPlus – New Jobs, Less Cost
•Available from July 2013
•An employment grant paid monthly in respect of employees hired from the live register
•Two Levels of Payment
• An employee who was unemployed for 12 mths – 24 mths: €7,500
• An employee who was unemployed for 2 years of more: €10,000
•Full- time employment over 30 hours per week
•For new vacancies, which do not displace existing employees
•Time spent on Jobbridge and other schemes counts towards eligibility
•(NEW PROVISION FOR UNDER 25s, who only need 6 months unemployed, will be provided for from 1 Jan 2014)
Some Conditions
• Jobs must be ‘full-time’ at least 30 hours p/w spanning at least four days p/w
• Employers must be compliant with Irish tax and employment laws
• Eligible jobs must not displace any other employee
• Recruits must have been unemployed for a period of at least 12 continuous months
• No limit on number eligible recruits per employer
• Available to employers filling new vacancies as consequence of natural turnover.

• Advertise your job as normal.
• For help finding suitable, eligible candidates we recommend you contact:
- Your local Intreo Centre/Employment Service Office.
- Include your vacancy on www.jobsireland.ie.

Shortlisted Candidates?
• Candidates must verify their eligibility with
www.jobsplus.ie.
• Eligible candidates will receive confirmation and a
JP1 form for you to complete.

Found your new employee?
Then just tell us.
• Return the JP1 form to the JobsPlus Team.
• You will be notified of approval.
• Offer position to candidate.

And we do the rest!
• Agree a start date.
• Your new employee must close their jobseekers claim before starting work for the JobsPlus payment to be made.
• Payments to your company will be made by EFT monthly in arrears, over a two year period, whilst the employee remains in your employment.

JobsPlus Data
• DATA TO WEEKENDING 18th October 2013.
• As of the 18th October applications had been received
from 1,491 employers. Of these, 1,443 have been
approved for JobsPlus and 48 are currently being
processed or have to provide additional information.
• Applications have been received from 2,859 jobseekers
and 2,742 of these have been processed as of the 18th
October.
• Of these 2,199 have been found to be eligible for
JobsPlus. One thousand, four-hundred and fifteen
(1,415) of these jobseekers have been unemployed for
24 months or longer.
JobsPlus Data
• The Department has now matched 614
eligible jobseekers matched with eligible
employers. Of these 373 employees
(60.7%) unemployed for more than 24
months, meaning that the employer
qualified for an incentive of €10,000 in
respect of each of these employees (paid
monthly over two years..
JobBridge, the National
Internship Scheme • JobBridge is the National Internship Scheme that
provides work experience placements for interns for a 6
or 9 month period.
• The aim of the National Internship Scheme is to assist in
breaking the cycle where jobseekers are unable to get a
job without experience, either as new entrants to the
labour market after education or training or as
unemployed workers wishing to learn new skills. The
Scheme will also give people a real opportunity to gain
valuable experience to bridge the gap between study
and the beginning of their working lives.

• EURES can also assist in providing specially tailored
European recruitment projects for individual employers

work in Ireland
