The Cyber Security Centre (CSC) is a multidisciplinary group of academics and industry experts who focus on a wide variety of computer forensics and security issues. From the highly theoretic to the immediately practical, the work of the group combines a thorough understanding of the real-world digital environment with deep insights into its underlying theoretical foundations. The centre offers services to those working in the security technology and service sectors including law enforcement and supportive industries, government and other public sector organisations.
Expertise
The group has a wide variety of expertise in both cyber security and digital forensics, including network and host based security, risk assessment and mitigation, regulatory compliance, security architecture, forensic readiness, secure web systems, data recovery, forensic investigation, malware analysis, adaptive security systems, computational electromagnetics, formal methods, telematics and electronic design, GSM/GPRS, GPS and other GNSS systems, industrial networks and vehicle electronics.
