Preface
Abgostaran-E-Mihan (AM Co.) was founded in 2005 by Mr. Abbas Garousi, Mr.
M.Taghi Dameshghiye and Mr. Mohsen Barahimi under the name of "Abgostaran-
E-Mihan" to provide consulting services in water engineering fields.
For the time being, Abgostaran-E-Mihan with approximately has accomplished
over 100 projects. In the meantime, by having 60 outstanding Iranian Experts in
service, Abgostaran-E-Mihan is considered amongst the most successful
consulting engineers of the country in the field of water, environment and
agriculture.
Moreover office equipment includes computer, experienced staffs, printer and …
that have been developed during past years.

In spite of remarkable developments of industries in the 20th century, agriculture still
represents the most important feeding basket for more than a half population of the
world. Whereas political independency depends on agricultural self sufficiency,
especially in respect to strategic products.
Agriculture and Natural Resources Department is one of Abgostaran-E-Mihan’s
technical departments which has played an important role for integrated planning of
water resources engineering projects.

5 Surveying, RS/GIS
RS/GIS Division of Abgostaran-E-Mihan has been organized with the aim of satellite
images interpretation and geographic data production/processing and optimal analyzing.
The division with experienced experts and advanced engineering equipments is prepared
to give following services for all relevant projects:
A: Planning, installation and set up the RS/ GIS systems
• Feasibility studies, creation of GIS sites and interpretation of satellite data
• Design and execution of GIS in a profitable manner
• Analysis of high-resolution satellite images to images to indentify and separate the
ownership boundaries
• Establishment of cadastre database
B: Production of ISO maps
Generating various ISO maps based on point data such as Isotherm, Isohyets, Isobar, and
etc…
C: Site selection
• Precise site selection using GPS & production of site location maps
• Appropriate site selection suitable for execution of all types development projects and
environmental plans
D: Production of 3Dimension maps based on digital data In order to 3D spatial analysis, it is required to interpolate contour lines to provide the

3. Professional Staffs
The consulting engineers have to work with software and hardware equipment, pave the
way to achieving long-term goals.
The company has 55 full-time employees and 38 part-time employees. The company also
has five regional offices in the country.(Esfahan, BandarAbbas, Zahedan, Ghazvin &

AM Company’s personnels have been had many years work
experience on dam projects such as Karoon 4 dam, Gavoshan dam, Bokan dam, Rodbar Lorestan and hydropower dam, ILAM dam, Kavar dam, Shirin dare dam and Dez dam in Iran. Nowadays this section focuses on Ghamsar Kashan dam studies that has technical
properties including:

The cost of construction approximately can set between 20 to 50 billion tomans (6
million to 15 million $) according to normal or complex geology, access road, gate,
hydromecanical properties, and other condition based on interest rate in 2015.
