Introduction to LINCCCs
Please take the time to read this important information about the course counselling process prior to your appointment.
• Your child will continue to study English and Mathematics as compulsory subjects for the full year. • Your child will select an additional 8 subjects of their choosing across the year. • To gain the necessary skills in Literacy and Numeracy, your child may spend additional time in
Foundation English and Mathematics.
Throughout the course counselling process students will ensure they meet the LINCCCs points requirement across the year:
Literacy 50 points
Independence 30 points
Numeracy 30 points
Critical thinking 30 points
Creative Thinking 30 points
Citizenship 15 points
Each subject will allocate LINCCCs points aligned with the subject focus and what your child will learn.
10 points = extensive LINCCCs development
5 points = LINCCCs development
If no LINCCCs points have been allocated there will be limited opportunity to develop the associated capabilities within that subject.
