Mass vs. Weight
Before we get started, let me clear something up.
Mass is not the same as weight! Mass is the amount of MATTER an object
contains. Weight is a measure of the PULL OF
GRAVITY on an object. Today, we are working with MASS!

Materials Needed 5 plastic cups per group Triple beam balance or pan balance Gram stackers or paper clips if using a
pan balance(*raisins, rice, beans, macaroni, cereal) or
any 5 items that you have!
