VALVE TIMING
Pada kenyataannya, pembukaan katup setiap langkah piston tidak semuanya sebesar 180o engkol
Pada langkah hisap pembukaan katup biasanya telah dimulai dari beberapa derajat sebelum TMA (BTDC) dan penutupan katupnya beberapa derajat setelah TMB (ABDC)
Tujuannya bisa memungkinkan efisiensi pemasukan campuran udara bahan bakar lebih baik (jumlah udara bisa lebih banyak)
