Lesson 6: Color Signs Signs Include: __ red __ purple __ tan
__ orange __ pink __ gold
__ yellow __ black __ silver
__ green __ gray __ blue __ white
Patterns & Tips
- The base for most color signs is the first letter of the color. For example, signing the color yellow uses the letter “y” but with movement.
- The color pink uses a “p” with movement near the cheeks, like referencing blush. The sign for red is placed near the lips or chin, as if referencing lipstick. These associations have helped me learn to sign colors more easily.
