I may be designing certain projects or making presentations for potential clients I can use certain applications on my computer to create artwork or share my ideas with other coworkers or people I may be working for

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF AN ADVERTISER Determine a strategy for the client Brainstorm to think of creative ways to increase sales Research of other advertisements Research the psychological side of how certain images or word choices may affect people in different ways Advertise public relations activities

THE COMPUTER SCIENCE IN ADVERTISING Advertising agencies use technology on a daily basis to: Research Promote ideas through media and networking Save important long-term work and plans on their secondary memory Design Could use different applications to organize plans or create a design

APPS FOR ADS There are all sorts of applications that are necessary for use in this field Powerpoint Excel Word Any type of artistic design application

THE ARTISTIC SIDE TO THINGS When in an advertising career, some knowledge of design or presentation would be helpful to have.

I look forward to using applications on the computer to design actual advertisements and have them be something I created from my imagination I like the idea of having my ideas put to good use and help someone in doing that

GRAPHIC DESIGN LOOKING AT THE GRAPHIC DESIGN SIDE OF THINGS In graphic design, I would most likely be using something along the lines of Photoshopetc This application and those alike will allow me to work on my projects and manipulate things for the task I am doing

APPLICATION Like mentioned before Microsoft- used for writing outlines or charts for the job Excel- organization of statistics, budget, etc -The computer can do equations much faster than humans Powerpoint- create presentations for meetings Also, a large amount of information can be stored and organized on the computer instead of in piles of paper

NETWORK Through the use of networking, I will be able to spread my ideas and ultimately my final designs I will be able to use email and social media to link my ideas with other people

OVERLAP Computer Science and Advertising/Graphic Design do go well together since most of what is done, is done online on the computer Advertising and Graphic Design need the computer science aspect to function in a modern, timely manner Without computer science, advertising agencies wouldnt be able publish their work online or print signs or advertise their work anywhere online
