CCHS Counselors and Administrative Team have used the following data to determine appropriate placement in Math, English and Science Class
• NWEA MAP Scores for 7th and 8th Grade– Reading/Language– Mathematics
• ISTEP scores– Reading– Mathematics
CORE Class Optionsbased on recommendations
• English– English Lab, 9A, 9B (3)– English 9 A & B (2)– English 9 Honors A & B (2)
• Math– MOD MATH (3)– Geometry A & B (2)– Geometry A & B Honors (2)
• Science– Biology A & B (2)– Biology Honors A & B (2)– Earth Science A & B (2)
• Foreign Language (By recommendation ONLY)
- French I A & B (2)
- Spanish I A & B (2)- American Sign Language I A &

9th Graders will take 15 classes:
• English (2 or 3 trimesters)• Math (2 or 3 trimesters)• Biology or Earth Science (2 trimesters)• P.E. (1 trimester)• Health or FACS (1 trimester)• Introduction to Communications (1 trimester)• World History or Geography (2 trimesters)
• AP World History available to sophomores (3 trimesters)
