APPLIED PHYSIOLOGY AND KINESIOLOGY
Specializations: Exercise Physiology Fitness/Wellness
Students are trained to become proficient in the prevention, diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation of injuries and illnesses for the physically active.
Upon graduation, students will meet the requirements to sit for the BOC examination. BOC certification is required to practice athletic training in all 50 states.

Bridging the gap between scientific knowledge and the public’s understanding of health to improve quality of life.
Preventing disease and disability, as well as promoting health among diverse population groups through behavioral interventions.

Studies the role and impact of sport, on individuals, society and the environment.
Prepares students to apply fundamental concepts of management, marketing, finance, and law in today’s global sport industry.
SPORT MANAGEMENT
Studies the role and impact of leisure services, including tourism, events and recreation, on individuals, society and the environment.
Prepares students to develop, manage and deliver programs and services to a variety of populations in diverse settings.

Q: What major does UF COM look for?
A: We don’t! Obviously science majors can get through our science prerequisites faster than the non-science majors, but each year we take art majors, history majors, language majors, forestry majors, philosophy majors, poetry majors… we strive to recruit a diverse group of interesting students, so impress us!
