Helena Agri-Enterprises, LLC, a national agricultural-chemical company, has an immediate opening for a retail Operations Man-ager at our Toluca, Varna, Washburn, and Minonk IL locations.
SUMMARY: Supervises general operations, production, quality control, emergency response coverage, building & construction, safety, training and compliance with federal and state regulations for specific Helena operations. Must primarily perform office or non-manual work directly related to management policies or general business operations. Also must exercise independent choice and judgment in matters of consequence 50% or more of the time.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Coordinates the above responsibilities in accordance with poli-cies, principles, and procedures established by Corporate. Orders inventory for sales and inventory control. Purchases technical ma-terial and packaging. Confers with customers and representatives of associated industries to evaluate and promote improved sales and service in the area. Develops plans for efficient use of ma-terials, machines, and employees. Reviews production costs and product quality, and modifies production and inventory control programs to maintain and enhance profitable operation of divi-sion. Directs preparation of accounting records. Recommends budgets to management. Other work-related duties as assigned by supervisor/manager. Reliable and regular attendance is ex-pected.

Members were challenged to test themselves on the “Civics (History and Government) Ques-tions for the Naturalization Test” at the Chief Senachwine Chapter NSDAR meeting Feb. 1, at The Meeting Place. National Defense Chairman Carol Byrd explained the naturalized citizenship process and shared some of the 100 ques-tions that must be known by those seeking U.S. citizenship.
Regent Dolores Dace an-nounced that a few of the 100 chap-ter cookbooks, “Cooking Through the Seasons With the Daughters” remain for sale at Gina’s Cut and Curl.
NSDAR applications for the Community Service recognition of the Henry Events Committee, to be held in April, and the rededication of the gravestone of DAR Daugh-ter Elizabeth Wikoff, to be held in May, have been approved.
The Literacy Committee report-ed that 8000 students drop out of school every day in the U.S., often due to lack of reading success.

For the residents at Freedom House, possible victims of domes-tic abuse, chapter members donat-ed to the Oops! project (Operation Old Purses), resulting in 26 purses filled with 192 items for women and children.
American History Chair, Bar-bara Peterson, shared fun facts about the “Father of Our Country,” George Washington.
Due to illness involving the presenter of the February program, members held a round table dis-cussion on activities and possible projects for the next chapter year.
The next meeting will be Fri-day, March 6, at the First Presbyte-rian Church at 1:30. Good Citizens Youth Day recipients will be rec-ognized from Heny-Senachwine, Midland, and Putnam County high schools. Tom Ashby, a member of the Sons of the American Revo-lution and dressed in a replicated American Revolution uniform, will present “A Son of the Ameri-can Revolution.”
