50 - 041Convenient Synthesis of Hetero Decalins. — A novel synthesis ofheterodecalins (V) and (VIII) is described via Baylis-Hillman reaction of (I) withunsaturated vinyl systems (II). These adducts are converted to the azadecalins(V) by benzylamine addition or to the oxa derivative (VIII) by allylic migrationof the hydroxyl group and subsequent cyclization. — (HADIMANI, S.
