CDF DEFAULT TEMPLATE
Follow these steps to create and overlay your CDF template.

1. Locate the defaultCDF.pftdefaultCDF.pftdefaultCDF.pftdefaultCDF.pft template in ProForm. Go to FileFileFileFile menu and select OpenOpenOpenOpen. You can also click the
icon on your toolbar.
Note:Note:Note:Note: you will not be able to search for your defaultCDF.pftdefaultCDF.pftdefaultCDF.pftdefaultCDF.pft the first time. It is in your system but not
linked to the database search until you open the first time.
2. From the OpenOpenOpenOpen dialogue box in ProFormProFormProFormProForm, select to change your file of type on the bottom right to
ProForm Template (*.pft).
3. Your template is named defaultCDF.pftdefaultCDF.pftdefaultCDF.pftdefaultCDF.pft. Highlight and click the OpenOpenOpenOpen button.
Note:Note:Note:Note: If you do not see your template, verify you are in the root of the Server folder SoftPro directory.
4. You will receive the below message. Click Yes.Yes.Yes.Yes.

5. Once the defaultCDF.pft template is open, Click the Save icon on the tool bar.
6. You will then receive this message. Click Yes.Yes.Yes.Yes.
7. Now you are ready to enter data into your template.
8. Tip:Tip:Tip:Tip: With this version of ProForm you can overlay your GFE template into your new CDF template so that
the General, Title Insurance and Order Tracking data populates into your new CDF template without
needing to retype.

1. With your CDF default template open on your ProFormProFormProFormProForm desktop, Click the File/Template File/Template File/Template File/Template OOOOverlayverlayverlayverlay icon.
2. A dialogue box will open to allow you to browse to the location of the defaultGFE.pftdefaultGFE.pftdefaultGFE.pftdefaultGFE.pft or default.pftdefault.pftdefault.pftdefault.pft you
wish to copy. Change your file of type on the bottom right to ProFormProFormProFormProForm Template (*.pft). Verify you are in
the root of the Server folder SoftPro directory.
Tip:Tip:Tip:Tip: If you can’t find the file you are looking for, you are either in the wrong folder or you need to select
View All File Types, as the file has a wrong extension on it.
3. Locate your GFE template, highlight and Click Open.Open.Open.Open.

Note:Note:Note:Note: If you are copying a GFE to a CDF or vice versa you cannot copy the Escrow& Closing tab details.
That information cannot be translated from one file type to another. General, Order Tracking and Title
Insurance Tab information will copy.

1. If you are not sure of the name of the template you use for GFE, HUD or CDF file types you can quickly
locate this information as it is located at the bottom of the new file dialogue box.
2. Depending on the type of file you selected, the path to the default will change. The name of the template
is the last item in directory listed.
