FROM THE DESK OF MONSIGNOR HEITING
ATTITUDE ADJUSTMENT… Usually when we say: “He (or she) really has an attitude”, it is not a compliment. Our
gospel from Saint Matthew for the Fourth Sunday in Ordinary Time invites us to look
at this phrase in a new way. The gospel is all about the beatitudes. In becoming a
“beatitude people”, we seek to take on the mind, the heart, and the attitude of Christ.
Doing so then allows us to show comfort, show mercy, be peacemakers, etc. Let’s
especially pray this week that we can become more and more of a beatitude people.

FCCW NEWS
We have been in contact with Culligan in Slayton and have a reverse osmosis and water softener cost to rent on a monthly basis. Culligan would own the units and would maintain them. The cost is $70 per month. The proposed size is a 20 gallon tank on the reverse osmosis. That would be enough water to use for coffee for the Harvest Festival. At other times it would be enough for both coffee and drinking water. There are some installation costs. We would like to have the reverse osmosis and water softener installed soon. The benefits would be better coffee and hopefully less problems with the coffee pot and give us drinking water. Presently, many bring water to the basement to drink. We do have the funds to do this project.
We have received many thank you's from the staff and from the organizations that we donated funds to. Thanks for supporting our Fulda Council of Catholic Women!

From the Knights of Columbus : First I would like to thank all those who attended the January 17 supper. We all
enjoyed a great meal from Sharon at City Limits and had some good ideas brought up. We are looking at an end of March or early April meeting to discuss some of those ideas, if you have an idea or subject that you want to put on the agenda for the next meeting let me know. Second our February 19 breakfast is coming up soon and we have decided to donate the proceeds to Mike and Melissa Einck to help them out in there time of need. The young couple, Mike who grew up a member of St Columba of Iona and works for UPS in Slayton and Melissa who grew up a member of St Anthony of Lismore and works for the Nobles County Law Enforcement, recently discovered during their second pregnancy that their baby has a heart defect and they will be spending next few months at Mott's Children's Hospital in Ann Arbor, MI awaiting the arrival and following surgeries of their baby. Please pray for this young couple and come to the breakfast to show your support for them. Thank you James Cowan(507) 360-7879 call or text, [email protected].
