About Poncho’s Catering…
Welcome to PONCHO’S! We are a local company with strong roots and ties to the
community serving all areas in and around the Westshore and Victoria region. We
offer full catering services and event management. We also have a daytime café,
located in Goldstream Village right in the heart of Langford ♥ ♥ ♥
Catering - From basic coffee services to full-scale evening events, large conferences
and weddings, we strive to bring excellence to everything we do. We know that
choosing the right caterer and the perfect menu for your event can be challenging. At
PONCHO’S, we are creative and passionate about excellent food. In a world of preset
menus and few options, we stand out by offering personalized menus for any event.
Any menu that you see in our package can easily be customized to suit your needs...in
the end, it's all about your needs. Your choices are limited only by your imagination.
Event Management Services - This includes the event planning, onsite management
on event day(s) and post-event follow up. We believe that excellence is achieved
through details and this is something that we can provide for your event.
We strive to provide the highest level of service for all event types in order to provide
you 'peace of mind' during your event. We are also one of the very few catering
companies where the owner works at every event. We just don't send staff - the owner
is completely hands on and attending to every detail of your event.
We will work with you in order to provide a catering and event management
experience that is all about your vision, your tastes and your budget. Give us a try -

Your engagement is a special time that you should enjoy to the fullest. Don't spend it

a plan with a variety options for you to consider. When you give us the go ahead, we'll
make it all happen....keeping you updated as we progress towards the big day. Allow us

We offer the complete service. When you choose PONCHO’S, you would be dealing with
just one company and we look after everything. We have access to a number of vendors
and suppliers that we have worked with in the past, all with exceptional results. Another
goal is to ensure the entire day is seamless. Our owner has personally catered for just
over 300 weddings through the years and has many contacts in the wedding market.
Our prices are very affordable. With our extensive industry experience and contacts, we
are uniquely positioned to create your memorable day for less cost that you might
expect. We can manage your entire wedding or just certain aspects ~ it's up to you!

party rather than a buffet dinner. There isn't any reception style that we cannot do. In

an afternoon/evening celebration where the ceremony and reception are at the same
venue...
3:30pm Guests begin to arrive for the ceremony
3:50pm Officiant arrives and takes position for the ceremony
4:00pm Ceremony begins
4:30pm Ceremony concludes; meet & greet with the newly married couple
4:45pm Guests are invited to the reception area; refreshments available;
appetizers passed around; the couple may leave for area for photos

speeches to begin the evening

home or venue of your choice. From an intimate gathering to a formal dinner party, our
service will take the stress out of entertaining. We will meet with you to create a menu
that suits the occasion and your style. This may be for any occasion....birthday,
anniversary, retirement, client appreciation or simply friends getting together to enjoy
fine food and wines. Food and wine pairings offered. Ideal for serious foodies, too.
Dazzle your guests with the luxury of having food prepared and catered right before
them. We bring our love and passion for the culinary arts to your dinner party or event.
We offer a variety of options catering specifically for your guests. We use the freshest
quality ingredients to maximize flavours and provide your taste buds with a real treat.
When doing a private dinner for you, we will provide the following....
Tablecloths ~ white, ivory or black with your choice of coloured accents
Linen Napkins ~ your colour choice
Table Decor ~ centre pieces, candles, decor to fit the theme

9:30pm ~ guests retire to front room; service continues

Estimating the Number of Guests...
in our experiences, it can be difficult to predict how many persons will attend the
gathering and/or how much they will eat, therefore we will only charge on consumption
so we do not lock you into a price per person or have you "pre-order" a set amount of
food; once the menu has been established, then we will begin with a par food amount,
then replenish only as needed so in the end, you will only be charged for the
consumption
We Provide at No Charge...
ceramic plates, napkins, serving utensils, delivery, setup & removal at the end
Available for Rental...
wine glasses, beer glasses, martini glasses, champagne flutes $6.00 per dozen
tablecloths (white, black, ivory) $3.00 each delivered, setup & removal at the end
Staffing Services... qualified staff persons provided at $20.00 per hour, per person - minimum 3 hours
all details will be taken care of by our staff so you can socialize & enjoy the event
Full Bar Services Available... your choice of a hosted or no-hosted bar; we provide the alcohol,
staff persons, bar service, glassware, ice, all supplies, liquor license,
setup & removal; we will gladly provide a separate quote for our bar services

And More Information...
Bookings ~ we do ask for at least one weeks’ notice prior to your event. However, we
are always willing to accommodate late requests. Sometimes a situation arises that you
need a caterer on short-notice. If that does happen, please get in touch with us...we can
make it work.
Number of Guests ~ we will ask for the approximate head count when the event is
booked. An update on the count to be sent one week prior to the event and a final count
48 hours prior to the event. Now, we of course realize that things happen at the last
minute and people are unable to attend for a variety of reasons. Please know that we can
make changes to the count, increases or decreases at the last minute.
Food Service ~ we will provide all food for your event. We ask that you do not bring in
your own food for the event. Even though Aunt Bessie makes a wonderful pasta, the local
heath regulations do state that all food served at events must be provided by the hired
caterer. However, the health department does make exceptions for outside cakes, so you
may bring in your own cake. We will provide the plates and forks for the cake. We are
also one of the very few catering companies that do not charge a cake cutting fee.
Staffing ~ all of our staff persons are professional, well-groomed and will attend to every
detail of the event. We do not book more than one event at the same time. By doing so,
we can give the event our full attention and care.
Deliveries ~ there is no charge for deliveries. We will set a time, at your convenience, to
return and pick up the supplies on the same day.
Payment ~ we do ask for a 30% deposit upon confirmation of booking, then 30% one
week prior to the event, then final balance due at the end of the event. We accept cash,
cheques, debit cards, Visa, Mastercard & American Express.
Flexibility ~ one of the most frequent comments we hear is about our flexibility. We
believe that changes do happen and situations evolve, at times during the actual event.
We will do our absolute best to accommodate any changes.
