FlangesThe dual hose ange designs propose eld-proven
solutions to eliminate stress, bending loads concentration
and ensure perfect sealing (high resistance and compact
design, exibility behind the ange).
The manufacture consists in using 2 or 3 steel plates
xed on the steel cable layers. The steel cable that
is bonded within the hose provides a highly resistant
structure to both pressure and axial forces.
The high performance seal is made by a continuous inner
liner and an integrated gasket.
Flanges are drilled according to ASME B16.5 Class 150 or
Class 300.
Standard angeThe standard ange is commonly used for normal
environmental conditions. This type of ange permits a
good exibility of the string and increases the service life
of the system.
Reinforced angesThe reinforced angeis made of two different parts: an
integrated bending stiffener and steel ring reinforcement.
This gives a perfect and smooth bending process,
avoiding stress concentration and excessive fatigue due
to either the connection or the environment.
The manufacture consists in using steel plates xed
on steel cable layers. The steel cable, bonded within
the hose, provides a highly resistant structure to both
pressure and axial forces.
The extra reinforced angeis used for severe
environmental conditions like connecting to a manifold. It
also increases the ofoading line service life.
Flanges are drilled according to ASME B16.5 Class 150 orClass 300.
Quick and easy connection to manifold or between two
hoses can be done by adding lifting pad eyes on the spool
piece.
Hose body structureIntegrated bending stiffener (IBS)The integrated bending stiffener permits to progressively
decrease loads and stress transmitted and consequently
reduce the fatigue and increase the service life of the
hose.
Continuous inner liner and integratedgasketThe continuous rubber inner liner and the integrated
gasket made of NBR rubber at both ends offer a full
sealing solution, allowing no migration of the product
in the hose body. A special inner liner is proposed for
specic uid on request.
Reinforced anges have an external gasket which allows
protection from corrosion by sea water.
Steel cables layersDual hoses exclusively use steel cables layers (trucks tires
technology).
Steel cable layers are separated in two carcasses: maincarcass and reinforcement carcass (dual carcass).
The main carcassis made of steel cable layers wounded at
the angle of equilibrium and withstands normal pressure
rating.
Permanent elongation is nil, providing evidence of the
excellent elasticity of the hose body, and resulting in
highest resistance to fatigue.
The reinforcement carcassis made of steel cable layers
overlaying a thick rubber lling, increases the resistance to
tension loads and protects the main carcass from eventual
excessive loads.
This particular construction permits the hoses to be
accidentally kinked, crushed or collapsed without damage
or permanent deformation (eld-proven design).
Steel ring reinforcementFor severe environmental conditions and for a better
resistance to tension, high external differential pressures
or extreme bending loads, steel ring reinforcement are
incorporated within the two carcasses.
The axial and bending stiffness is 2 to 3 times more
important with steel ring reinforcement.
These rings are made of high strength steel allowing them
to retain their original body shape even when hoses are
subject to extreme stresses.
Rings can be variably spaced in accordance with stresslocation.

structure.
The operational high resistance is performed with
the perfect link and adhesion between hose body
structure and ange.

First off and tanker rail hoses are supplied with
lifting pad eyes for ease of handling and installation.

request.
ReinforcementThe reinforcement is composed of polyester cords.
Reinforcement withstands normal pressure rating

stresses. The reinforcement is adjusted according to

Helix steel wireFor severe environmental conditions and for a better
resistance to tension, high external differential
pressures or extreme bending loads, helix steel
wire reinforcement is incorporated in the hose body
structure.
