Fiscal Year 2017 Budget includes City funding
for new projects and additional funding for
existing projects or programs. Highlights of
newly funded items include $1,500,000
towards the acquisition of land for Fire
Station #4, $400,000 for the installation of
pedestrian street lighting and bike amenities
on Aragon and Andalusia Avenues, $350,000
for the installation of crosswalk upgrades
and installation of new sidewalks, $200,000
towards optimizing energy and water
efficiency at City facilities and $200,000 for
the installation of decorative street lighting.
Additional funding for existing projects is
included in Fiscal Year 2017 of $3,209,449
for the replacement/addition of vehicles,
$1,353, 81 to fund the cyclical replacement/
renovation of Parks & Recreation equipment
and play areas, $1,262,308 for upgrading the
Information Technology infrastructure,
$1,265,000 for Sanitary Sewer and $727,000
for Storm Water system repairs, $750,000
for City Hall Repairs/Improvements, $600,00
for ongoing citywide street resurfacing,
$500,000 for Closed Circuit television camer-
as at strategic locations citywide, $431,375
for Citywide Roof Repairs, $400,000 for the
development of passive parks throughout
the City, and $235,000 for the emergency
Vehicle Intersection Preemption System.
