DYNAMICS MEETS PROCESS EXCELLENCE

Today’s businesses are challenged to rapidly deploy,

revise, and redeploy internal and customer-facing

applications. The goals of these applications are

wide ranging yet have many features in common.

These include rapid deployment, simple yet flexible

changes and easy integration with both internal

(database, web services) and external (social

media, email) data.

Responding to the pressure to deliver in timeframes

that defy traditional development practices,

organizations are turning to lightweight platforms

that enable them to create powerful applications—

and do so with little or no hand-coding or architectural

prerequisites. While Dynamics offers some limited,

code-intensive basic workflows, Process Director

enables organizations to build, deploy, and manage

powerful, low-code, workflow-driven applications.

The product encompasses a comprehensive set of

advanced business process management (BPM)

features that enable you to automate, manage, and

optimize complex business processes across the

organization, and even beyond, supporting robust

customer-facing applications.

Process Director offers:

• Easily configurable workflows

• Wizard-driven integration with

enterprise applications including

Dynamics and SharePoint

• Rich, interactive smart forms

• Simple yet powerful rules engine

FAMILIAR AND RESPONSIVE TECHNOLOGY

Built on .NET, with SQL Server as its repository,

Process Director is totally at home in your Microsoft

environment. Of course, Process Director integrates

with Dynamics, complementing its control and

decision support capabilities. It also includes

extensive integration with SharePoint, as well as

with MS Office documents. Process Director can

import data directly from, or export data directly

into, Excel worksheets. Process participants can

take action through email, and can view their task

lists, smart forms, or reports directly within Outlook.

Process Director smart forms are created using MS

Word. Anyone who can use Word can, with minimal

training, learn to build dynamic and attractive smart

forms.

While Process Director takes advantage of the

Microsoft stack, that doesn’t mean you have limited

your options. On the contrary: your colleagues and

customers can access Process Director apps and

administrative capabilities from any browser on

virtually any platform. Whether viewing a dashboard

using Chrome on a Mac or approving a document

from a smartphone, the Process Director end-user

experience is secure, flexible, and mobile-friendly.

A DELIVERY MODEL THAT WORKS

Every day, more and more organizations are

discovering the benefits of using Process Director

to rapidly create and modify workflow-driven

applications. These apps may be standalone

or integrated with enterprise solutions such as

Dynamics or SharePoint. They may operate entirely

in-house, or interact directly with customers,

vendors, or suppliers. They do, however, share a

key advantage: they are low-code and workflow-

driven, minimizing costs while accelerating time-to-

value. The end result is that you can dramatically

improve the ability of your business to respond

quickly to changing conditions.

We are using Process Director to automate our processes and tie together disparate systems that include invoicing, asset management,

capital approval and contracts.– Lisa Campbell-Chau
