4AkzoNobel Surface Chemistry | Berol ENV226 Plus
Berol ENV226 Plus exploits the synergy betweennonionic and cationic surfactants to achieve excellentwetting, fast soil penetration and effectiveness at lowconcentrations.
Berol ENV226 Plus is designed for water-based hardsurface cleaning and effective removal of oily, greasy, waxy and particulate soils without the need forhazardous solvents.
Berol ENV226 Plus can be formulated in EU Ecolabelall-purpose and sanitary cleaners.
What is a narrow range ethoxylate?
A narrow range or peaked ethoxylate has an EO distribution curve that isnarrower than the equivalent standard alcohol ethoxylate with a considerablylower content of unreacted alcohol and lower foam than standard ethoxylates
AkzoNobel Surface Chemistry | Berol ENV226 Plus 5
Highly targeted performance
Focused composition for improved degreasing
Our narrow range ethoxylates
• Are centered at the exact EO level required for effective cleaning
• Have very little unreacted alcohol and thus there is almost nounwanted “greasy soil” in the product
• Have low levels of higher ethoxylates resulting in more rapid foamcollapse
• Require less or no defoamers

Our methods to assess cleaning performance• Non-mechanical cleaning tests (ANSC’s black box)
• Mechanical cleaning tests (IKW standard using the Sheen scrubber)
• The type of soil used in the test reflect the actual cleaning/degreasingability of the products.• Tough to clean greasy soil collected from a train engine for I&I
cleaning applications• Commercially available Lambert soil mixed with corn oil and water for
household cleaning applications• Standardized soil for quality assessment of All-Purpose Cleaners
