A Leadership Development Seminar for Students
In this 2 ‐ hour interactive presentation on developing leadership skills, Randy Goruk will share recent results of an industry survey describing what employers are looking for in new hires. He will also provide the students with strategies, techniques, tools and tips on how to develop their leadership skills and to position them for a great career in the construction industry. During his presentation, he will utilize power point slides, video, audio and a customized workbook to enhance the learning experience. As a result of this seminar, students will be equipped with the information and actions necessary to embark on their leadership journey.

About Randy Goruk
Randy is a 1974 graduate of Civil Engineering Technology from the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology. His 26 ‐ year career with Trus Joist Corporation started with an entry level design technician reporting to Claresholm, Alberta and concluded in Atlanta, Georgia where he was the Senior Vice President of North American Operations.
As an executive and part of a dynamic senior management team, his hands‐on contributions and leadership on change initiatives, drove sales growth from $60 million to $1 billion annual revenue, which led to the company being acquired in 2000, by Weyerhaeuser.
