Tau Charm Factory: physics case
Baldini, Be8oni, Ciuchini, Dosselli, Isidori, Mussa, Lubrano, Pedrini

Of the four lowest-‐lying neutral pseudoscalar meson systems, the D0-‐D0bar system shows the smallest mixing. In the K0 system, both|x| and |y| are both of order 1; in the D0 system, |x| and |y| are both of order 1%; in the B0 and Bs systems, |x| ≫ |y| .

While there is no evidence so far of CPV in mixing, a ~4σ evidence of direct CPV has been observed in the single-Cabibbo-suppressed (SCS) decay modes.
Result largely unexpected: above most SM predictions, but not large enough to claim clear evidence of New Physics Key to resolve the issue: more measurements of CPV asymmetries in other SCS channels (possibly including neutrals and radiative modes)
ΔaCP = aCP(K+K-) - aCP(π+π-) = (0.67 ± 0.16)%
Reference sensitivity of future experiments on direct CPV: errors < 10-3
KK and ππ asymm. equal and opposite in the SU(3) limit: aCP(PP)~ 0.3% → errors below 0.1% to establish a non-zero value on the individual modes. ( )

The XYZ's: Charged charmonia New vector states (hybrids?) Other C=+ seen in B-factories Other C=+ seen in CDF & CMS

NotaVon: The mass eigenstates are denoted D 1 ≡ p|D0> + q|D0bar> and D 2 ≡ p|D0> − q|D0bar>; δ and δKππ are strong phase differences between D0 → f and D0bar → f amplitudes, and φ is the weak phase difference Arg(q/p). We define δ ≡ δ D0 → Kn(π) − δ D0bar → Kn(π). The mixing parameters are defined as x ≡ (m2 − m1)/Γ and y ≡ (Γ2 − Γ1)/(2Γ), where Γ = (Γ1 + Γ2)/2. Our convenGon is (CP)|D0> = −|D0bar> and (CP)|D0bar> = −|D0>; thus, in the absence of CP violaGon, x = (mCP+ − mCP−)/Γ and y = (ΓCP+ − ΓCP−)/(2Γ). Experimental Observables: From all experiments there are 38 observables. TheoreVcal Parameters: Allowing for CP violaGon, there are 10 underlying parameters: x, y, δ, δKππ, RD, AD, Aπ, AK, |q/p|, and Arg(q/p) = φ. The first two parameters govern mixing; the next two are strong phases; R D is the raGo Γ(D0→ f)/Γ(D0 → f); the next three are direct CP-‐violaGng asymmetries for D0 → K+ π−, D0 → π+ π−, and D0 → K+ K−, respecGvely; and the last two are indirect CP-‐violaGng parameters.

Prese dati a 4.04 sarebbero pero' totalmente inadatte a questi studi.
