Grading Scale• The grading scale is in the front of the
classroom.
• When you get interims and report card, you will have letter grades!
• A= 90-100 D= 64-69• B= 80-89 F= 63 and below• C= 70-79
• Homework is 10% of your grade! ALWAYS turn in your homework! (This could make an A into a B)

• You may not play TAG or any chasing games.
• You must sit on the bleachers, NOT play on them.
• If you see something unsafe, tell me or any adult immediately.

What is the end of the day like?
• At the end of the day you will return to our class. • I will write the things you need to bring on the
board.• Leave out your agenda for a stamp.• Pack all other items and then your agenda when
it is stamped. • If a teacher needs to stamp your agenda, bring it
to the teacher.• Stack your chair at the end of your team by
holding the back of the chair. (Please be very careful).
• Sit on top of your desk and begin reading a book.• When asked by the teacher, line up in number
order. • *Technologists will turn off the student
computers.

Welcome Work• Each morning after you write down your homework,
you will begin your welcome work.• Look on the front board and read what it says. • It will tell you what book you need and what to
complete.• If you have questions, raise your hand or ask a
teammate.

What will I learn this year?• Science- soil, habitats, animals, Earth’s
cycles, simple machines, and energy forms
• History- maps, explorers, Ancient Greece, Ancient Rome, Ancient Mali, government, economics, citizenship
• Math- place value, rounding, addition, subtraction, comparing numbers, multiplication, division, decimals, fractions, graphs, fact families, and lots more!
• Reading: Daily 5 centers, CAFÉ strategies, guided reading groups, and reading circles.
• Writing: writer’s workshop, writing conferences and spelling sorts.
