the Atascadero Chamber to distribute in Shop Small bags. These bags, filled with coupons from local merchants will be distributed to shoppers from November 18th through the 27th. If you do not have a coupon, the Atascadero Chamber will create one for you. Simply email your information to [email protected] and we will design it for you. The ad space for this is approximately 8 x 4 inches. Please send your business name, address, discount or promotion and a logo if you have one and we will do the creative work. Robert M. Grigger Jones, is a retired Lawyer having been in private practice for 33 years in Atascadero. Grigger was born in Santa Barbara, California in 1949,wherehegraduatedfromSantaBarbaraHighSchool.After a three year commitment in the United States Army, serving as a German Translator with the Army Security Agency inWestBerlin,Grigger attended and graduated from theUniversity of California at Santa Barbara and the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law. In his law practice, Griggers primary focus was business and estate litigation, and has one published appellate decision, Atascadero Factory Outletsvs.Augustini andWheeler, (2000)83Cal.App.4th717.
Grigger has been married for 43 years to Alice I. Jones, a retired Marriage and Family Therapist, and has three adult children, Lt. Commander Andrew T. Jones, US Navy, Dr. Carolyn McGaughey, and Nancy J. Sylvester, J.D.
Currently, Grigger serves on several regional and local boards, agencies and non-profits, including, serving as Chairman of the Atascadero Chamber of Commerce Board andtheAtascaderoEconomicFoundationBoardandisalsocurrently the President of the Atascadero Mutual WaterCompany.
In 2010, Grigger was appointed by then California GovernorSchwarzenegger to theAtascaderoStateHospitalAdvisory Board.
In the past, Grigger has served as President or Chairman of numerous and diverse Boards including those serving developmentally disabled adults, street inebriates, battered and abused women and children, food pantries, regional water delivery systems, free dental clinics for children and skilled nursing facilities. Grigger is also past president and continuing member of Rotary and is active in his church, St.LukesEpiscopalChurch,whereheservesasaEucharisticMinister. For the past several years, Grigger has assisted the Salinan Tribe of San Luis Obispo and Monterey County to obtain federal recognition status.
Grigger has also served Atascadero as City Attorney, City Clerk,PlanningCommissionerandCodeViolationHearingOfficer.
