Seismic Data Library : an Example of Entrepreneurship
Seismic Data Library (2004)
§ In 2004, Gaia finished implemen?ng the CPD to deal with seismic data collected within Brazilian jurisdic?onal waters. At that ?me, it was the largest in the Southern Hemisphere and ranked 37th in the world, according to Top 500 Super Computer Sites.
§ In 2010, the CPD had some 6000 CPUs opera?ng in parallel, with a storage capacity greater than 1 Petabyte.
§ The total number of CPUs shall be doubled by 2012.
Heatric’s Heat Exchanger: Technological Innova[on
Compact Heat Exchanger (2009) § Gaia introduced Brazil to a revolu?onary concept of compact heat exchangers, built with printed circuit technology.
§ This type of equipment is 7 ?mes lighter than the one produced with the “hull and tube” heat exchangers, reducing the space required on the pla@orm by 5 ?mes.
§ It is also able to withstand high pressures (up to 9000 psi) and high temperatures (up to 900°C).
§ Heatric’s heat exchanger was officially adopted by Petrobras on the following pla@orms: P-‐55, P-‐58, P-‐59, P-‐62, P-‐63 and on Pre-‐Salt FPSOs.

§ Due to their automated process, they demand less personnel and dras?cally reduce the risk of accidents.
§ They require less space than regular rigs, thus reducing environmental impact.

§ Reduced cost per well, compared to regular rigs.
§ Drillmec is about to celebrate a partnership with a Brazilian manufacturer to produce rigs with high local content.

In December 2011, Garra partnered with Rousimar “Toquinho” Palhares. The agency’s first action was to promote ROUSIMAR “TOQUINHO” PALHARES’ fight in the UFC 142, the 2nd edition of UFC Rio. The marketing and communication campaign included creation of an individual brand for the fighter, an official website, social media actions and press agency. Today, Toquinho is the main name at the Brazilian Top Team (BTT) and is rapidly increasing his chances for a title fight in the middleweight class.
OPPORTUNITIES The Rousimar Toquinho Palhares brand offers many sponsorship opportunities in UFC editions, sports events, social projects, in addition to creation of licensed products.
