Association for Prevention and Control of Rabies in India(APCRI) & APCRICON
APCRI was founded in the year 1998, with a vision to make India Rabies Free by 2020. Since then, it has
evolved into a national organization that is one of the most vibrant scientific societies in the field with a
strength of more than 750 life members. APCRI led by an excellent team of experts and dedicated
people is actively involved in organizing conferences, continuing medical education (CME), symposia,
lectures, trainings, scientific publications, book releases, etc. and has a pan India representation. APCRI
has its own official indexed and peer reviewed journal on prevention and control of rabies that is
published biannually. APCRI, with the technical and financial assistance from WHO under took the
landmark national multi-centric rabies survey, India during 2002 - 2004. In 2017, it has again conducted
another Indian multi-centric rabies survey with financial assistance from WHO.
APCRICON will serve as a platform that brings together the best minds in the country comprising of
medical professionals, public health personnel, veterinary doctors and others for Advocacy, Research & thInformation dissemination about prevention & control of Rabies. APCRICON 2018 is the 20 Annual
National Conference which will be held at New Delhi, India's capital and major gateway to the country.
Contemporary Delhi is bustling metropolis, which successfully combines in its folds the ancient and the
modern culture.

Conference of Association for Prevention and Control of Rabies in India (APCRICON 2018), that will be
organized by the Department of Community Medicine, Vardhman Mahavir Medical College & th thSafdarjung Hospital, New Delhi on 7 & 8 , July 2018.
This Conference is meant for researchers, academics, regulators, students, medical, public health, and
veterinary professionals and others who are interested in prevention and control of rabies. This
conference provides unparalleled opportunities for the learning of the latest developments in the field
of rabies, for networking with colleagues from all over the country.
Delhi is the best place for advocacy, marketing and collaboration with national institutes and agencies in
the landscape of greenery, monuments and power. We are sure that the deliberations of the conference
would benefit all the delegates.

Instructions for Abstract submission Registration for the conference is mandatory to send the abstract, except for Invited speakers.
Each delegate is entitled to submit only one paper.
Abstracts of scientific paper presentations should be submitted online through conference website only.
Abstracts should not be more than 250 words. It should be written in the following order: Title, Need for the study, Objectives, Methodology, Results & Conclusion. Abstracts without results & conclusion will not be considered for oral presentation
stLast date for abstract submission is 31 May, 2018.
The Scientific Committee will review the papers and finalize the mode of presentation. The accepted abstracts & the mode of presentation will be intimated.

Update on Prevention of Human RabiesThere will also be a interactive session with demonstration on administration of
Intradermal Rabies Vaccination (IDRV) and Rabies Immunoglobulin (RIGs) / Rabies monoclonol antibody (R-MAb) through live streaming from a clinical facility.
