Sick Book Policy and Certificate of Disposal
1. When a secure document has been contaminated with bodily fluids, etc., the document is NOT sent back to Pearson.
2. Contact your DTC for all procedures regarding the disposal process.
3. NOTE: It is illegal to send contaminated documents
through a courier.

SATP2: Algebra I Calculators
Only allowable calculators can be used during the Algebra I test.
This information can be found in your TAM on page 11 or STCM
on page 18.
It is the responsibility of the test administrators to ensure that
all calculators used on the Algebra Subject Area Test are
allowable.
The TI-Nspire calculator is allowed only when the TI-84
faceplate is on and in working mode.
Use of a TI-Nspire calculator without the TI-84 faceplate is
considered a testing irregularity and will result in the student’s
score being invalidated.

Pre-Printed Answer SheetsPearson will provide pre-printed answer sheets for first-time test takers during the April, 2011 Paper/Pencil administration (primary for spring 4x4 and traditional).
Blank answer sheets will also be provided.
If a student has transferred from one school to another within the district, the pre-printed answer sheet can be transferred with the student.
Return all unused, torn, or damaged pre-printed answer sheets to Pearson with your non-scorables. Do NOT use them for a different test administration.

It is critical that the form on the front of the test booklet is coded correctly in Section F, “Form,” on the answer sheet.
Pay special attention to Section H, “Test Attempted Before.” The DTC must ensure that this bubble is darkened only for retesters.

SATP2: Reminders
If a student’s score is to be invalidated for any reason, contact the District Test Coordinator with the student information and reason for the invalidation.
If approval is received from the OSA, Status Bubble 8 must be filled in on the answer sheet.
The student’s report will contain a footnote reading “INV = Invalid Test.” The student will not be included insummary reports.
Invalidated answer sheets MUST be returned with SCORABLE materials.

SATP2: Returning Test Materials Packing materials (orange and green labels, paper
bands, GISs, and brown and tyvek envelopes) will be distributed by the District Test Coordinator.
Procedures to collect, inspect, assemble, and packsecure test materials are found on pages 26 – 29 of the STCM.
Complete a Group Information Sheet (GIS) foreach subject area teacher within a building.
Follow the directions exactly as written
on pages 27-28 of the STCM.
Use your SATP2 Packing Poster as a reference.

All boxes will have a pink “administration specific” label. Test materials must be returned in the correct
administration specific box.

All secure test booklets, used and unused, must be returned to
Pearson along with the completed School Security Checklist.
1. Retain copies of the School Security Checklist for district records.
2. Follow the directions on the SATP2 Packing Poster for returning test materials to the District Test Coordinator.

SATP2: RemindersVoided Answer Sheet
If a test administrator grids the demographic information for a student on a blank answer sheet but the answer sheet is never used by the student—
OR
If a student’s answer sheet is torn or damaged—
VOID must be written across the top of the answer sheet.
Voided answer sheets must be returned with NON-SCORABLE materials.
If the pre-ID answer sheet is voided (torn or damaged), follow the instructions on page 35-39 of the DTCM to correctly grid another answer document.

Ensure that you have received the correct type and number of reports. Inform the SATP2 Project Manager of any missing score reports or problems with reports by calling 1-800-228-0752, ext. 245677.
