The Austin Convention Center Department is a member of the
Green Choice Program. All of the electricity provided to the facilities is provided
through wind and solar energy.
Lighting
Replaced HID fixtures throughout the center
with T8 and compact
fluorescent.
LED
All Meeting Rooms have been retrofitted with LED 2x2 fixtures.

Waste Management
Program realized a $25,000 year
over year savings in 2010.
CarpetThe carpet tiles
installed in ACC are made from recycled
materials, generated zero emissions, and
were installed without using glue.
Water
ACC replaced 66% of all toilets and urinals to low flow fixtures.
All hand sink aerators are .5 gallons per minute, the lowest possible.
LandscapingACC uses crushed glass instead of mulch and in ash trays
Use native and adaptive plants and drip irrigation to minimize water consumption
