ABIGALE ADAMSAbigale Adams was born in Weymouth,
Massachusetts during a blizzard. She was born
on November 11th, 1744.

CHILDHOODAbigail’s mother was Elizabeth Quincy and her
father was William Smith. As a child , she was
sick a lot , so she didn’t go to school or many
other places. Her nickname was Nabby.

1797 to 1801. She was the first lady during that

INTERESTING FACTSIn the Revolutionary War Abigail had to melt her
medal spoons into bullets. Abigail rote hundreds
of letters to her husband when he was gone.
Peaple didn’t think it was important for girls to
be educated but Abigail knew better and said so.

DEATHAbigail died at her home in Weymouth
Massachusetts in 1818,October 28 at the age of
73 years old. In Abigail Adam’s time, it was
unusual for women to speak out about
improving their lives, but Abigail did.
