WELCOME TO 6TH GRADE!
I am very much looking forward to this school year! My goal is to facilitate a positive learning environment that promotes independence, responsibility, and respect. Ultimately, it is my hope that our students will be respectful collaborators, critical thinkers and lifelong learners. In our classroom we embrace that we are all a unique part of a larger whole striving to always achieve our personal best!

Referral
In some cases, a referral
must be issued. You will
receive a call from me or
admin to inform you of
this. Three strikes in one
area results in a referral.
Ex: derogatory language,
physically harming another
student, bullying, damaging
property, ditching, etc.
Reminder
In most cases, students will
be given a reminder &
opportunity to build their
self awareness and correct
their behavior. A choice slip
will be issued at this stage.
Ex: accidental inappropriate
language, inappropriate use
of materials, talking in the
quad, running in the quad,
talking during quiet times.
Strike
If a student is not being
safe, responsible or
respectful, they may be
issued a strike. Repeated
choice slips will result in a
strike These will be sent
home when they are issued,
and are documented in their
weekly folder.
Ex: repeated minor
behaviors, lying, purposeful
disrespect, etc.
