HSPS 2013 Chili Cook Off
The 3rd Annual Hoosier Sail & Power Squadron Chili Cook Off event was held at the Indianapolis Sailing Club on Geist Lake. Categories included Meat, Hot & Spicy, and Vegetarian. There was a special category for children as well.

Winning participants received a Cook Off Champ towel & cooking spoon, and a sample pack from Lava Lips Hot Sauce Tasting Tiki Bar.

Participants and guests mingled while score sheets were distributed at the tables.

While discussions of this and future events continued, desserts, breads, and salads were laid out in the galley area.

The chili pots, 10 in all, simmered in preparation for the judging to begin.

Finally it was time to begin. Each person took a small sampling of the numbered chili pots and ranked them according to their personal favorites.

There was no shortage of good eating. Once all score sheets were turned in, the results were tallied by the Accounting Firm of Weigand & Duncan. (Thanks, Ray & Jim!)
