JSA Board
Tournament Rules
Tournament rosters are due by June 27th, 2019 @ 5:00 PM. Your team’s regu-
lar season roster will be your default roster for the tournament. You may add
players to your roster. After your team has been classified by JSA, you may
add up to two (2) players to your tournament roster until 15 minutes prior to your
first game, subject to the following conditions:
The pick-up player may not be from a higher division than the division in which
the team is playing in the tournament.
i.e., Division F may not pick up a Division C or D Player.
2. If local, the pick-up player must be a JSA member must be in Men/Women
division. COED players must pay a $25 fee and submit a crossover player
agreement
3. Players may not be on more than one team playing in the tournament.
No additional players may be added to a roster after the beginning of the RR
portion of the tournament. The tournament committee or their appointees make
the final decision regarding eligibility of player or team participation.
Home Run Limit: Two over the fence homeruns per game. PROGRESSIVE
THEREAFTER. Homeruns over the limit will be declared outs. No ejection for
homeruns over the limit.
USA Softball rules as modified by JSA will apply. See the current JSA
Handbook on the JSA website.
Flagrant unsportsmanlike conduct will result in a player and/or manager being
disqualified from further participation in the tournament. Ejection from a game
(except for illegal substitution) results in a minimum 1-game suspension. Ejec-
tion from local season play carries over into tournament play or vice versa. In
the event of an ejection, the offending team must have a legal substitute
to replace the ejected player or the game is declared a forfeit.
***Any team forfeiting two games (Round Robin or Double Elimination) will be
dropped from the tournament. ***
Game time is play time. NO GRACE PERIOD. You must have 8 players to
begin a game. You must finish a game with no less than 8 players. In the event
of a compression out, the JSA rule is used. (1 compression out at the dropped
player’s first appearance in the lineup, no further outs will be assessed due to
the compression.) Teams falling below the required minimum 8 players will be
assessed a forfeit.
Tournament Rules
PROTESTS: The tournament committee or their appointees will handle all protests on
the spot.

limit during Championship games.

rule will be in effect in the last inning during bracket play only.

ing time limit games, tie-breaker will be invoked at the top of the inning following time
expiration or the 8th inning, whichever comes first. (Top of the 8th for games with no
