OUTSTANDING FACILITIESThe basketball camp is located on the campus of Saint Thomas More School, Gardner Lake, between Norwich and Colchester, and is easily accessible from the Route 95 and Hartford. All the facilities necessary for the successful operation of the camp are offered by the school, including dining hall and kitchen staff, infirmary and six outdoor courts. Four outdoor courts are lighted for night games. An 8-basket indoor gymnasium is another outstanding facility of the camp.

For over twenty-seven years, Reiser has coached basketball at both the high school and college levels. A head coach at three Connecticut High Schools since 1988, he has led teams to numerous league titles, conference championships and state titles, including the 2005 “LL” State Champtionship. His 2005 team set a state record for victories in a season going 28-0. Coach Reiser’s Girls’ teams have avaeraged over 20 wins a season in his ten years at Manchester. Coach Reiser was also selected as the 2005 Connecticut Coach of the Year. Reiser has the distinction of coaching both the boy’s and girl’s Connecticut Players of the Year. Reiser has coached Connecticut all-star teams and directed many camps and programs throughout the state.
A twenty year veteran of the college coaching ranks, Kidd starts his 12th year at Division 1 Sacred Heart University as the assistant and recruiting coordinator. Throughout his coaching career Kidd has always been heavily involved in the development of team defensive strategies and guard skills. Prior to Sacred Heart, he spent 4 years at small college powerhouse Western Connecticut where he helped them to two NCAA tournament bids. Before that he spent 2 years as an assistant at his alma mater Central Connecticut State. During his playing years at Central, Kidd was a 4 year starter and a three-time captain. History of the Past 54 Years of the Camp
1960-1963 Jim Hanrahan purchases property and starts camp. Jim was coaching Fairfield University at that time but wanted to start a prep school. In 1963, Jim became headmaster of St. Thomas More School.
1964-1969 Uconn Coach Fred Schabel and Uconn Professor Dr. Carl Fisher take over for Jim. Central Connecticut Coach Bill Detrick and St. Thomas More Coach, Nick Macarchuk work at the camp.
1970 - 1997 Bill Detrick and Nick Macarchuk become new co-directors.
1998 - 2014 Nick Macarchuk along with John Reiser, girls coach at Manchester H.S. and Johnny Kidd, Assistant Coach at Sacred Heart University become co-directors.
