Hornet Spotlight:Brandan Connor

Brandan Connor, despite being just a freshman, has been one of the top Hornets throughout the season. He struggled with foul trouble early in the season, but since the VMI game on Nov. 30, he has played in 25 minutes or more a game. His game has blossomed in that stretch while being a member of the starting lineup. He has recorded 10 or more points on five occasionssince then while averaging 10.8 points a contest. He has been a huge factor on the defensive end

for the Hornets as he is arguably the team’s best defender and is averaging 2.3 steals a contest. He had his two best games of the season since returning from thewinterbreak.AgainstAveretthetallied15points,sevenrebounds,andsixsteals and against Guilford he had 14 points while drilling four of his seven at-tempts from three point territory.

TODAY’S GAME: Lynchburg College hosts ODAC rival Bridgewater College.

LC recently had their four-game winning streak snapped by #6 Guilford College.

Randolph College on Dec. 9. LC then went back to the non-conference schedule

and defeated Maryland Bible and Christopher Newport in the CNU Classic to

win the classic. A snowstorm postponed the Methodist game on the 18th, but

LC came back from the long break with a buzzer beating 71-69 win in overtime

against Averett. The winning streak was keyed by the defense and dominating
