20 Important Things About Friends is No. 2 of 3 posters, originally published in 1995, republished in honour of Corry Robinson in 2015 to mark her retirement from JFK Partners. 1 Friends are always together, for a thousand days

2 Treat them the same way you would like to be treated 3 Don’t let them eat too much candy, or they will get sick4 You shouldn’t say anything that you don’t like about them

5 Don’t say: “I’m not your friend.” 6 Don’t get their name stuck, instead use their real name

7 Don’t laugh when they fall

8 Sometimes friends knock you and don’t want to be your friend and you have to find someone else to be your friend

17 Don’t say no to people’s ideas

9 Listen to your friends and tell them the truth

10 Friends get mad and sad at you

11 You make friends by asking, “Do you want to be my friend?”

12 Remember to say “Hi!” to your friend

13 Tell your friends that you like them and that you like their shirt

14 Ask: “Would you like to come to my Grandma’s house?”

15 Don’t be a bully and throw your

friend in the water

16 Forgive your friends

18 Don’t yell at your friends, call them names or use bad words

19 Don’t make fun of your friends or tease them

20 Don’t be so jealous with them
