2014. THE FIRST EDITION WAS HELD ON DECEMBER 11TH AT RITZ-CARLTON, SHANGHAI,
PUDONG.
FOR THE SECOND EDITION THE AWARD CEREMONY TOOK PLACE ON DECEMBER 10TH 2015 IN THE CAPITAL, AT THE FOUR
SEASONS HOTEL, BEIJING.
THE HOTELIER AWARDS 2016
WILL TAKE PLACE ON DECEMBER 15TH.
MACAO IS CONVENIENTLY LOCATED AT THE CENTER OF THE REGION, MAKING IT THE PERFECT LOCATION
FOR THE NEW EDITION OF THE HOTELIER AWARDS.
THE AWARDS CEREMONY WILL TAKE PLACE AT THE PARISIAN MACAO (SOON TO OPEN).

APPLICATION GUIDELINES
• THE CANDIDATE MUST CURRENTLY BE WORKING IN GREATER CHINA OR IN THE ASEAN REGION. • THE CANDIDATE MUST HAVE HELD HIS/HER POSITION FOR A MINIMUM OF 6 MONTHS BETWEEN JULY 1ST 2015-JUNE 30TH
2016. • THE APPLICATION IS FREE OF CHARGE AND THE HOTEL CAN NOMINATE AS MANY CANDIDATES AS THEY WISH. • THE FINAL APPLICATION DATE IS JULY 22ND 2016. APPLICATIONS RECEIVED AFTER THIS DATE WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED. • INCOMPLETE APPLICATIONS WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED. • ONLY APPLICATIONS MADE IN ENGLISH LANGUAGE WILL BE CONSIDERED. • THE APPLICATION MUST BE APPROVED BY THE HOTEL GM AND THE GM’S CONTACT INFORMATION SHOULD BE

JUDGING ROUND 1
THE JUDGING PANEL WILL DECIDE ON THE TOP 5 CANDIDATES FOR EACH CATEGORY BASED ON THE FACTS PROVIDED IN THE APPLICATIONS.
ALL JUDGES OF THE HOTELIER AWARDS ARE BOUND BY A NON DISCLOSURE AGREEMENT COVERING CONFIDENTIALITY, CONFLICTS OF INTERESTS AND CONTACT WITH ENTRANTS. THE JUDGES’ DECISION IS FINAL
AND THERE WILL BE NO OPPORTUNITY FOR APPEAL, DISCUSSION OR CORRESPONDENCE.
JUDGING ROUND 2
PHONE INTERVIEWS WILL BE CONDUCTED WITH THE SHORTLISTED NOMINEES. THIS WILL SUPPORT THE JUDGES DECISION, ALONG WITH THE INITIAL APPLICATION
SUBMITTED AND ADDITIONAL DATA COLLECTED; TESTIMONIALS AND
PROPERTY DATA COMPILED BY FORBES TRAVEL GUIDE.
THE JUDGING PANEL
THE JUDGING PANEL FOR 2016 CONSISTS OF EXPERTS FROM WITHIN THE TRAVEL AND
HOSPITALITY INDUSTRY.
THERE WILL BE SIX JUDGES IN TOTAL, FOUR OF WHICH WILL BE JUDGING ALL APPLICANTS FROM
BOTH REGIONS. THE OTHER TWO JUDGES WILL ONLY FOCUS ON ONE REGION EACH. ONE FOR GREATER CHINA AND ONE FOR ASEAN, MAKING A TOTAL OF FIVE JUDGES FOR EACH RACE. ALL OUR JUDGES HOLD A WEALTH OF EXPERTISE IN
GREATER CHINA AND ASEAN.
