Passage to memorizePhilippians 3: 12-14
…But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for
which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.

Which way is the wheel turning!?Focus on the red dots and follow them round... it appears to be rotating anti-clockwise. However, if you follow the yellow dots round instead, the whole wheel will be turning the other way! - clockwise!

Different people have different goals
• A husband and wife who were having marital problems went to be with a psychologist.
• After a while the professional got up from the chair, went over to the woman and hugged her very intensely.
• Then he turned to the husband and said, “ This ought to be done every day.”
![Page 9: 109 F Change and Innovation](https://reader035.vdocuments.site/reader035/viewer/2022062521/568bf4921a28ab89339e8a5e/html5/thumbnails/9.jpg)
Different people have different goals
• The husband replied, Doctor, I’m sorry but it cannot be hear for every day.
• I can bring her in only on Tuesdays and Thursdays.”

Some food for thought
• What is that you think is impossible in your ministry today, but if it were possible, would change the whole dimension of your ministry?
• How does a leader get a person where they are to where they have never been?
![Page 13: 109 F Change and Innovation](https://reader035.vdocuments.site/reader035/viewer/2022062521/568bf4921a28ab89339e8a5e/html5/thumbnails/13.jpg)
Some food for thought
• How does motivation facilitate goal setting?
• How can a leader plan ahead?• Some people are drifters, some
failures and some winners. What makes them different?

Are you becoming more Christ like?
• The Christian life is an ongoing process of change and internal revolution, grounded in the belief. that this process is reforming us to become more Christ like.
• In what ways do you find yourself resisting the changes God brings into your life?

Case study: A Butterfly’s Case study: A Butterfly’s LessonLesson
”One day, a small oppening appeared on a cocoon; a man sat and watched for the butterfly for several hours as it struggled to force its body through that little hole.
![Page 21: 109 F Change and Innovation](https://reader035.vdocuments.site/reader035/viewer/2022062521/568bf4921a28ab89339e8a5e/html5/thumbnails/21.jpg)
Then, it seems to stop making any progress.
It appeared as if it had gotten as far as it could and it could not go any further.
![Page 22: 109 F Change and Innovation](https://reader035.vdocuments.site/reader035/viewer/2022062521/568bf4921a28ab89339e8a5e/html5/thumbnails/22.jpg)
So the man decided to help the butterfly: he took a pair of scissors and opened the cocoon.
The butterfly then emerged easily.
But it had a withered body, it was tiny and shrivelled wings.
![Page 23: 109 F Change and Innovation](https://reader035.vdocuments.site/reader035/viewer/2022062521/568bf4921a28ab89339e8a5e/html5/thumbnails/23.jpg)
What did the man not understand?
![Page 24: 109 F Change and Innovation](https://reader035.vdocuments.site/reader035/viewer/2022062521/568bf4921a28ab89339e8a5e/html5/thumbnails/24.jpg)
Sometimes, struggles are exactly what we need in our life.
If God allowed us to go through our life without any obstacles, it would cripple us. We would not be as strong as we could have been. Never been able to fly.
![Page 26: 109 F Change and Innovation](https://reader035.vdocuments.site/reader035/viewer/2022062521/568bf4921a28ab89339e8a5e/html5/thumbnails/26.jpg)

Critical questions
1. What should you do more of?2. What should you do less of?3. What should you do differently?4. What should you do faster?5. What should you do better?

Every new idea is born drowning
A new goal is at its most vulnerable during the first moments of life. In any important relationship, one negative comment outweighs ten positives.

Yesterday’s goals
Be careful of yesterday’s successes, because success taste so good it dulls the appetite for risk. Alvin Toffler

ObstaclesObstacles
always show up when you take your eye off the goal.

What are some of the obstacles and baggage stopping you to reach your full
goals and potential?• Fear of failure• Doubts• Jealously• Low self esteem• Family issues• Critical spirit• Envy• Pride
• Ego• Lack of
commitment• Boastful• Unhealed hurts• Unresolved issues• Certain
relationships

Five kinds of ministries
1. Those that make things happening.2. Those that think they make things
happen.3. Those that watch things happen.4. Those that wonder what's happening.5. Those that don’t know anything is
happening.

Some people change very slowly
• A framer went to see a lawyer about divorcing his wife
• “ Do you have any ground?’ the lawyer asked
• “Of course, I have 100 acres of ground.”
• “No, what I mean is: Do you have a case?’
![Page 41: 109 F Change and Innovation](https://reader035.vdocuments.site/reader035/viewer/2022062521/568bf4921a28ab89339e8a5e/html5/thumbnails/41.jpg)
Some people change very slowly
• “ Of course I have a case. It is where I keep all my important documents.”
• “ No, what I mean is; do you have a suit?
• “Yes, that’s what I wear to church every Sunday.”

Some people change very slowly
• “ No what I mean is: What is your grudge?
• ‘Of course, I have a garage. That’s where I park my tractor.”
• “All right, let me put it this way: Why do you want to divorce your wife?”
![Page 43: 109 F Change and Innovation](https://reader035.vdocuments.site/reader035/viewer/2022062521/568bf4921a28ab89339e8a5e/html5/thumbnails/43.jpg)
