Recommended usage

How to mix
• First add the appropriate amount of water to your hoof bath.

• Always wear gloves and eye protection when mixing.

Usage
• Let cows walk through the bath.

• DO NOT ALLOW CATTLE TO DRINK.
• Do not allow cattle to have free access to the hoof bath.

• Animals may be hesitant at first to walk through the bath because it is something new and they are curious.
• Some may try to run through, and splashing may occur.

• Usually after 3 bath runs, the cows settle down, walk slowly and splashing is then minimized.

• After the appropriate number of cows have walked through, or when the bath becomes discolored, discard the hoof bath and replace with a fresh solution.
• Discard in accordance with local laws.

• To remove stains (on stainless steel, concrete, and latex), use 0.5% Sodium Hypochlorite (1 part household bleach plus 9 parts water).
• For other surfaces such as ceramic, use a 3% Hydrogen Peroxide solution.

• You can clearly see if a cow has walked through the bath with all 4 hooves.
• If an animal has a hoof issue, they may try to walk on the side of the bath, avoiding dipping the hoof into the solution.
• Other commonly used products have no indicator whether or not the animal walked through the bath properly.
• You can’t miss T-HEXX Dragonhyde HBC!

• Unlike formalin or copper sulfate where it does not show on the animal.

Cons of Copper Sulfate
• Environmental hazard– Only a matter of time before the EPA
places strict regulations on this product.
• Contaminates the manure pit
• Overloads soil, and destroys crop growth

• Carcinogen
• Extremely hazardous to farm workers
• Known to cause genetic mutations
• Will burn the skin

Question: What do you like about Dragonhyde?
Answer: Everything so far. Cows lay more in the stalls, cows milk out faster, somatic is lower, butter fat is higher because cows are more relaxed.
Question: What changes (if any) have you seen in your herd?
Answer: Hooves are hard but yet pliable and skin around the hoof is healthy and baby soft.
Question: Is it easy to use?
Answer: Yes water soluble.
