To all TGIF customers and participants,
First of all, we would like to begin by thanking you for your valued donations! All of
the donations from over 100 restaurants go directly to charity. Currently, through
the help of your donations, we have been able to donate 14,400 gallons of BioHeat®,
which has an approximate value of more than $54,000. This has been used to heat
144 homes of local families in need. We would not have been able to accomplish this
without your continuing assistance!
We have noticed that some other grease collectors have offered area restaurants
money for their grease. Please bear in mind that TGIF is the only non-profit in
Rhode Island where proceeds from cooking oil donations are used to heat the homes
of those in need. If for any reason you feel that you can no longer donate 100% of
your oil to TGIF, please contact us. We understand and we will work with you to
benefit you and support Project TGIF.
Sincerely,
The Jr. WIN Team

Spreading the Word to the World
We have been working hard to let more people know about the program. Locally, we
recently gave presentations to the South Kingston Town Council, the COX Media man-
agement team, Central Baptist Church and the Westerly Land Trust to inform them
about how they can contribute. Also, we have presented at both the Central RI Cham-
ber of Commerce and at South Kingstown’s Chamber of Commerce After Hours events.
Project TGIF was featured on the front page of the United Nations Environmental Pro-
grams’ website as well as a newspaper in India. Check out our new website at
www.projecttgif.com and our Facebook page, Jr. WIN Team - Project TGIF.
The junior WIN team initiated
a Used Cooking Oil Recycling Act in RI!
With the help of local RI State legislators Rep. Brian
Kennedy, Rep. Samuel Azzinaro, Rep. Donna Walsh and
Sen. Dennis Algiere, the Jun-
ior WIN team initiated the
Used Cooking Oil Recycling
Act, which mandates that all
businesses must recycle their
waste cooking oil. The bill was passed by the Rhode
Island general assembly and Governor Lincoln Chafee
signed the bill into law in July, 2011.

we are working to make the community a better place. If you are currently experi-
encing any problems, or have questions, you can call 401-322-0598 or email us at
