SYLLABUS FOR THE PRELIMINARY TEST OF COMBINED CIVIL SERVICESEXAMINATION- 2016

The Preliminary Examination shall consist of two compulsory papers, each of200 marks namely,(i) General Studies Paper-I(ii) General Studies Paper-II

Both the question papers shall be of multiple choice, objective type.The question papers will be set both in Hindi and English. However, questions

set to test the comprehension skill and knowledge of language and grammar shall beonly in the concerned language, without providing Hindi or English translation thereof.

General Studies Paper-ITotal Marks:200 Time: 2 hours

This paper will consist of 100 objective type questions, each of 2 marks, drawnfrom the subjects listed below. Candidates will have to answer all the questions.
