1 IMPORTANT: Please uninstall

any previously installed

versions of Microsoft

Office/Project/Visio as they

may interfere with this

installation. You can do this by

clicking your “START” button

search for “uninstall” Then

look for “Uninstall a Program”

and then select Microsoft Office

and choose “Uninstall”.

2 Open your web browser

and go to:

http://nbcc.onthehub.com

(For best results, use

Internet Explorer )

Then click “Sign-In” in

the upper right-hand

corner.

Good to know: These steps are essentially the same for Office, Project and Visio.

need to register it” and

click Continue.

required and press the

“Register” button.

All fields with a red

asterisk (*) are required.

7 Now you should see this

screen. Click the

“Microsoft Office 2013”

(Or Project / Visio 2013)

8 Click “Add to Cart” next

to the word “Free” in red.

button.

message. If so, read it

and click “Continue”

11 Read the agreement

presented on the page

and then (if you agree)

enter your email address

and type your name as

14 You will now get a receipt page.

You may want to print this page

for your records.

Take note of the Product

Key as you will need this

key to activate Microsoft

The Product Key is a 25

character code that will look like

valid key)

Important: Please keep your Product Key! You may

need this to reinstall Office/Project/Visio at a later

date and the Onthehub site will NOT keep this

information for you. After 30 days, you WILL have to

pay $12 to get it back. IT Services cannot provide

another code to you.

15 On the same page, there

is a “Start Download” link.

Click on this link.

16 A new window or Tab will

open. Click on

“Download SDM”. This is

a download manager.

the page. Click “Run”

18 Choose “Run” from the

next dialog box

webpage and click

“Download .SDX”

24 At the bottom of your

screen, an information

bar will appear. Click

Open.

25 The download manager

will open. Click “Start

Download” for the item

“Microsoft Office

Professional Plus 2013

32bit”

(Do NOT download the

64bit version. The 32 bit

version has better

compatibility.)

26 The download will begin.

27 Once the download is

done, click “Launch”

28 If you see any warnings,

click OK or Allow.

29 The installer will launch.

Click “I agree” and then

“Continue”.

30 Click “Customize”

31 Click the top grey box

next to “Microsoft Office”

32 Choose “Run all from my

computer”. This will

install the full suite.

33 Then click “Install Now”

34 Installation will proceed.

35 When complete, click

“Close”

36 You may be prompted to

reboot the computer. If

so, allow it to reboot.

Click “Yes”.

37 The computer will reboot.

38 Once you’ve rebooted,

find your Office programs

in your Start

Menu/Screen

39 Open “Word”

40 Word will load.

41 An Office Activation

windows will appear

when you first run an

Office program. Click on

the link that says “Enter a

Product Key Instead”

42 You will need to enter

your product key that you

took note of from Step

14.

43 If you entered the

product code correctly, a

check mark will appear.

Click “Install”
