The 22nd Annual Main Street Festival will go on the books as one of the best. Great weather and great crowds made for a great weekend as the community came together one last time before the start of the school year. The North Canton Chamber is truly appreciative of the support we receive from the City, W.W. Schaub Electric, North Canton City Schools, North Canton Public Library and our many partners as we collaborate on this family-friendly event. Special thank-you’s are in
order for our three major sponsors: Akron Children's Hospital, Visit-ing Angels and Waggoner Chocolates. And, of course, we couldn’t do it without our many volunteers. We look forward to your comments and suggestions as we begin planning MSF23!
Main Street MeetMain Street MeetMain Street MeetMain Street Meet----Up Up Up Up The Festival has always been the perfect
place for current and future office-holders to meet their constituents and voters, and this year was no exception. The 16th Congressional District open seat candidates Republican Anthony Gonzalez and Demo-
crat Susan Moran Palmer spent time chatting with the crowds over the weekend…Gonzalez at the VFW booth and Palmer at the Stark Democrats’ booth. Also "seen on the scene" over the weekend were State Senator Scott Oeslager, Stark County Auditor Alan Harold, 48th Ohio House candidate Lor- raine Wilburn and North Canton Council representatives Dominic Fonte and Daryl Revoldt.
September "September "September "September "Must AttendMust AttendMust AttendMust Attends" s" s" s" Abusive relationships take their toll on one's personal and pro-
fessional life and can affect productivity and the workplace. Gabriella Kreuz, founder of Love Doesn't Shove, is our featured speaker at the September 11 Quarterly Conversation Luncheon at Kent State Stark's Conference Center. I encourage you to attend and get information on Gabriella's or- ganization and what help is available for someone involved in a troubled lifecycle. RSVP informa- tion is available on our website and on the flyer in this month's mailing.
On a lighter note, you are also encouraged to participate in the September 15 Chocolate Walk, the first of its kind in North Canton. For $20 you'll be able to stroll up and down Main Street, receiving chocolates from participating bus- nesses and organizations. It's a fun way to get to know all North Canton's Main Street has to offer as you get an early start on Trick-or-Treat! Details are available on our website and enclosed flyer.
