A large, �at, elegant clay tile, the Double HP20 has a thin, taperedleading edge. It is laid broken bonded and is supported by acomprehensive range of matching �ttings and accessories.With an impressive coverage of only 9.5 tiles per m

2, the Double

HP20 combines a variable gauge with a choice of nailing positions to deliver an outstanding tile with real speed and economy of installation.

Dry Fix Option for Interlocking Ridge and Hips

Roof Ventilation should comply with building regulations and thecontrol of condensation on buildings outlined in BS5250:2002 andapproved document C2: 2004.The level of ventilation depends rstly on the roof design, cold orwarm roof construction, the type of membrane being used vapourpermeable/breathable or impermeable underlays, roof pitchesabove or below 35° or roof spans that exceed 10 metres.As a guide for most situations ventilation should be introduced ateaves or low level of 10,000 or 25,000 mm2/m and 5,000mm2/mat ridge or high level, with spacings at 1 or 2 metres respectively.Imerys provide two continuous dry vent ridge options, Uniroll and Air-Flex, also independent in line concealed upvc ridge and tile ventilatorswhich all have large net free ventilation area :10,000mm2.

Double HP20 Dry Fix and Ventilation

Installation GuidelinesDouble HP20 clay tiles should, in accordance with good working practice, be selectedfrom at least three pallets. Tiles should be installed in accordance with BS 5534 (2003), Code of Practice for Slating and Tiling and BS 8000 part 6 (1990), Workmanship onBuilding Sites.

The NHBC has now made the dry of all mortar bedded ridges and hipsmandatory, supplementary mechanical is now required.

Imerys roof tiles provide dry solutions for all ridges, hips, and verge areas. Theresult is faster, cleaner, and more ective.

Alternatively the Imerys Uniroll Can be used to comply with roof space ventilationrequirements of Building Regulations Approved Document C2 and BS 5250.

Imerys Roof Tiles are covered by a comprehensive 30 year guarantee of durabilityprovided that they have been installed in compliance with BS 5534 part 1 (2003) codeof practice for slating and tiling. BS 8000 (1990) part 6 workmanship on building sites.The �xing of roof tiles should comply with wind loads appropriate to the site locationand roof design, and calculated in accordance with BS EN 1991-1-4 to resist possiblewind uplift.
