Chaque année, comme tous les passionnés d’endurance, nous attendons avec impatience le mois de juin et ses mythiques 24 Heures du Mans. Nous avons déjà eu le plaisir en mars de célébrer une victoire à l’une des plus belles courses d’endurance. La Nissan DPi #22 de l’équipe Tequila Patron ESM, conçue sur la même base que la Ligier JS P217, s’est imposée aux 12 Heures de Sebring : un second succès pour Onroak Automotive à cette course légendaire après la victoire de la Ligier JS P2 en 2016.

La Ligier JS P217 revient disputer la classique mancelle pour la deuxième année consécutive. Pas moins de huit châssis sont au départ de cette 86ème édition. 26 Ligier JS P3 participent également à l’épreuve de Road to Le Mans.

Every year, like all the endurance fans, we look forward to being in June and participating to the mythic 24 Hours of Le Mans. In March, we already had the pleasure to celebrate a victory to one of the greatest endurance race. Designed on the same base as the Ligier JS P217, the #22 Nissan DPi Tequila Patron ESM came first at the 12 Hours of Sebring: a second success for Onroak Automotive at this legendary race after the victory of the Ligier JS P2 in 2016.

The Ligier JS P217 is back for a second year in a row. 8 chassis are on the starting grid for this 86th edition. 26 Ligier JS P3s also participate to Road to Le Mans.

Jacques Nicolet

Après avoir connu le succès avec l’écurie OAK Racing, Jacques Nicolet a mis à profit l’expérience de la compétition et la connaissance de la technologie engrangées pendant plusieurs saisons. Il a développé une entité dédiée à la conception et la production de voitures de course, Onroak Automotive.

Onroak Automotive propose différents modèles et types de voitures : sport-prototypes, monoplaces, véhicules tout-terrain, concept cars, etc.

Depuis 2014, Onroak Automotive fait revivre la marque Ligier sur les différents circuits et au cœur de la plus mythique des courses d’endurance, les 24 Heures du Mans.

After having been successful with the OAK Racing team, Jacques Nicolet made the most of his experience in competition and knowledge of the technology harvested by his team over several seasons. He developed an entity dedicated to the conception and production of sports cars, Onroak Automotive.

The manufacturer offers different models and types of racing cars: sports-prototypes, single-seaters, all-terrain vehicles, concept cars, etc.

Since 2014, Onroak Automotive makes the Ligier brand relive on the different circuits and in the heart of the most legendary endurance race, the 24 Hours of Le Mans.

2015 - Ligier JS P3Présentée aux 24 Heures du Mans, la Ligier JS P3 séduit à travers le monde. Un très grand nombre de Ligier JS P3 concourt à l’évènement Road to Le Mans depuis 2016.Presented during the 24 Hours of Le Mans event, the Ligier JS P3 seduces all around the world. A very large number of Ligier JS P3 cars participated to Road to Le Mans since 2016.

2017 - Ligier JS P217Répondant à la nouvelle réglementation LM P2, la Ligier JS P217 débute sa carrière en ELMS puis aux 24 Heures du Mans 2017.Complying with the new LM P2 regulation, the Ligier JS P217 began its career in ELMS then in the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 2017.

2018 – Ligier JS P4Avec pour vocation d’amener de nouveaux pilotes et équipes à découvrir le pilotage et l’exploitation d’un sport-prototype dans des courses d’endurance, la Ligier JS P4 a fait ses premiers tours de piste en course en avril à Donington Park.With the aim to bring new drivers and teams to discover driving and running a sports-prototype in endurance races, the Ligier JS P4 made its race debuts in April at Donington Park.

2016 – 11 VOITURES SUR LA GRILLE DE DÉPARTOnroak Automotive est le constructeur le plus représenté dans la catégorie LM P2 avec neuf châssis Ligier JS P2 et deux Morgan LM P2. L’une d’elle occupe le box #56, réservé à une innovation technologique : la Morgan LM P2 #84 a été modifiée par Onroak Automotive pour s’adapter aux besoins de son pilote quadri-amputé Frédéric Sausset qui signe l’exploit de boucler les 24 heures.

2016 – 11 CARS ON THE STARTING GRIDOnroak Automotive is the most represented manufacturer in the LM P2 category with nine Ligier JS P2s and two Morgan LM P2s. One of them is in garage #56, reserved for technological innovations: the #84 Morgan LM P2 was modified by Onroak Automotive to be adapted to the needs of its driver, quadruple amputee Frédéric Sausset who signs a momentous achievement by finishing the 24-hour race.

La Ligier JS P217 est l’un des quatre châssis LM P2 homologués par l’ACO, la FIA et l’IMSA répondant à la nouvelle réglementation entrée en vigueur en 2017. Conformément à cette dernière, la Ligier JS P217 est équipée du moteur Gibson V8 - 4,2 litres développant 600 ch et des systèmes électroniques fournis par Cosworth Electronics.Elle est éligible en FIA World Endurance Championship, IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship, European Le Mans Series et aux 24 Heures du Mans depuis 2017.La Ligier JS P217 a signé aux 4 Heures de Silverstone 2017 la première victoire d’un châssis LM P2 nouvelle génération en European Le Mans Series. Elle a ensuite signé à Laguna Seca en septembre 2017 la première victoire d’une LM P2 nouvelle génération aux Etats-Unis.

The Ligier JS P217 is one of the four LM P2 chassis homologated by the ACO, the FIA and IMSA complying with the regulation that came into force in 2017. In compliance with the latter the Ligier JS P217 is powered by the 4.2-litres V8 Gibson engine that puts out 600 bhp and equipped with the electronic systems supplied by Cosworth Electronics. Since the beginning of 2017 it is eligible for the FIA World Endurance Championship, the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship, the European Le Mans Series and the Le Mans 24 Hours. The Ligier JS P217 scored the first victory by a new generation LM P2 car in the European Le Mans Series in the 2017 Silverstone 4 Hours, and went on to clinch at Laguna Seca in September 2017 the first victory by a new generation LM P2 in the United States.

Les équipes Ligier aux 24 Heures du Mans 2018The Ligier teams in the 2018 Le Mans 24 Hours


The Ligier name appeared in the Le Mans 24 Hours for the first time in 1964 when Guy Ligier was on the entry list as a driver. In 1970, Ligier became part of the annals of the event as a manufacturer and team with the Ligier JS1. The following year it was replaced by the Ligier JS3 and the make’s colours were flown between 1972 and 1975 by the JS2. The team’s final outing was crowned with second place after which Ligier set out to conquer the world of Formula 1.Since the return of the make to Le Mans in 2014, the Ligier have only been entered by client teams. In 2018, six teams have chosen the Ligier JS P217 to compete in the 24 Hours of Le Mans.

Le nom Ligier est apparu aux 24 Heures du Mans en 1964 avec la première participation de Guy Ligier en tant que pilote. C’est en 1970 que Ligier entre dans les annales de l’épreuve en tant que constructeur et équipe avec la Ligier JS1. En 1971, la Ligier JS3 lui succède, puis la JS2 entre 1972 et 1975. Cette dernière participation est couronnée par une deuxième place avant le départ de la marque vers la Formule 1. Depuis le retour de la marque au Mans en 2014, les Ligier sont uniquement engagées par des équipes clientes. En 2018, six équipes ont choisi la Ligier JS P217 pour disputer les 24 Heures du Mans.

Présentée lors de la semaine des 24 Heures du Mans 2015, la Ligier JS P3 a très rapidement séduit pilotes, équipes et organisateurs.

Fiabilité, performance, facilité de prise en mains, d’exploitation et d’entretien, sont autant d’atouts qui caractérisent la Ligier JS P3.

Son large habitacle, son pédalier réglable sur trois positions différentes et son système de ventilation de l’habitacle et du pilote offrent un confort de pilotage très apprécié des gentlemen drivers.

Au cours des saisons 2016 et 2017, la Ligier JS P3 a remporté avec différentes équipes une dizaine de titres LM P3, en European Le Mans Series, Asian Le Mans Series, Asian Le Mans Sprint Cup, V de V Endurance Series et IMSA Prototype Challenge.

La 100ème Ligier JS P3 a été livrée en novembre 2017.

Presented during the week of the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 2015, the Ligier JS P3 quickly seduced drivers, teams and races organisers.

Reliability, performance, ease of driving, of operation and of maintenance, are the main assets characterising the Ligier JS P3.

Its large interior, its pedals that can be adjusted to three different positions and the driver’s ventilation system offers a driver comfort really appreciated by the gentlemen drivers.

During the 2016 and 2017 seasons, the Ligier JS P3 won with different teams about ten LM P3 titles, in the European Le Mans Series, Asian Le Mans Series, Asian Le Mans Sprint Cup, V de V Endurance Series and IMSA Prototype Challenge.

The 100th Ligier JS P3 has been delivered in November 2017.

Onroak Automotive initially specialised in the design and construction of sports prototypes. It has since expanded its activities and now offers a wide range of racing cars in different categories.

Onroak Automotive has remained faithful to its first love, endurance and the powerful values it conveys. It has made the design and construction of sports-prototypes its speciality. By building cars quite exclusively in carbon fiber that are eligible for categories ranging from CN to LM P2 and DPi, the manufacturer helps entrants and drivers to climb the different steps of the endurance pyramid at the wheel of cars combining performance, reliability and safety. Onroak Automotive offers notably Ligier sports-prototypes.

MONOPLACES / SINGLE-SEATERSAvec la reprise aux Etats-Unis du département compétition de Crawford Composites fin 2016, Onroak Automotive a ajouté une corde à son arc et a intégré à ses activités la conception et la construction de monoplaces en carbone. Les châssis F3 Regional et F4 proposés par le constructeur sont d’ores et déjà les modèles exclusifs des championnats américains pour ces deux catégories. Ils sont destinés à rejoindre d’autres séries, sur d’autres continents.

When Onroak Automotive took over Crawford Composites’ competition department in the United States at the end of 2016, it added another string to its bow and incorporated the design and construction of single-seaters in carbon into its activities. The Regional F3 and F4 cars sold by the French manufacturer are now the exclusive models in the American championships in these two categories. They will join other series on other continents.

Depuis l’intégration de Tork Engineering fin 2017, Onroak Automotive conçoit et produit des voitures de course de type « Silhouette », châssis tubulaire habillé d’une carrosserie, en fibre de verre ou de carbone, rappelant un modèle de série. Des modèles de type « Tourisme », c’est-à-dire construits sur la base d’une coque d’origine d’un modèle de série, sont également proposés.

Since the incorporation of Tork Engineering’s activities into Onroak Automotive in September 2017, Onroak Automotive designs and produces Silhouette-type racing cars, a tubular chassis covered in a fibre glass or carbon fibre body that mirrors a series production model. It also proposes touring cars constructed on the base of an original shell taken from a series production model.

Le Mans (FRA)Au sein du Technoparc des 24 Heures, ce site héberge les activités LM P2, DPi et LMP-H. Durant les deux semaines de l’événement des 24 Heures du Mans, la facilité d’accès aux ateliers et au magasin est un atout majeur.

The Onroak Automotive site in the 24-Hours Technoparc houses the manufacturer’s LM P2, DPi and LMP-H activities. During the two weeks of the Le Mans 24 Hours event the proximity of the workshop and the store is a major asset.

Amilly (FRA)Depuis la reprise des activités de Tork Engineering en septembre 2017, Onroak Automotive dispose d’un site à Amilly où sont conçus et développés tous types de véhicules spéciaux, et de type tourisme ou silhouette.

Since the incorporation of Tork Engineering’s activities in September 2017 Onroak Automotive has a workshop in Amilly where all kinds of special vehicules, touring cars or silhouette types are designed and produced.

Magny-Cours (FRA)

Aux portes du circuit nivernais, dans les locaux historiques de Guy Ligier, ces ateliers accueillent les activités LM P3, P4, CN, ainsi que la restauration de véhicules historiques.

Near the circuit, in the historical building of Guy Ligier, the Magny-Cours workshop houses LM P3, P4 and CN activities, as well as the restoration of historic cars.

Denver, NC (USA)Depuis l’acquisition du département Motorsport de Crawford Composites en octobre 2016, un atelier à Denver (Caroline du Nord) est dédié à la conception et la production de monoplaces. Il accueille également les activités et services dédiés au marché nord américain.

Since the acquisition of the Crawford Motorsport department in October 2016, a workshop in Denver (North Carolina) is dedicated to the design and the production of single-seaters. It also houses activities and services for the North American market.

Sepang (MAL)Une base à Sepang, en Malaisie, permet aux équipes de trouver en Asie l’accompagnement adéquat, avec un service support itinérant et un stock de pièces des différents modèles CN, LM P3 et LM P2.

A base in Sepang, in Malaysia, allows the teams to find in Asia the appropriate assistance, with a travelling customer support and a stock of spare parts for the different CN, LM P3 and LM P2 models.
