2. To build and maintain strong financial foundations and systems that ensure added value for our customers, while ensuring financial stability for Dosh
3. To develop our range of products and services to meet the needs of our customers and the personalisation agenda
4. To develop our response times for customer requests and demands which will meet our Key Performance Indicators

What Dosh Financial Advocacy do:
Develop personal budgets and money plans and helping people work through them.
Support people to learn new skills and understand money concepts
Join a person’s circle of support Support people with and provide account management for their
Individual Budget or Individual Support Fund or Direct Payment Do a welfare benefits assessments in someone’s home Offering the support needed for the person to manage their own
benefits Checking people’s money is safe Support the person to open a bank account and set up payments Becoming a ‘person centred’ appointee ensuring all decisions
are made with them in line with the MCA

Dosh is an independent company within the Thera Group. Dosh can continue to provide financialsupport when a Thera Company no longer provides a person’s care and support Currently we work in partnership with8 x care and support providers Dosh also works in partnership with
local authorities, PCTs and families

Dosh - how we work
To give you an idea of the services Dosh would be able to provide through a Person Centred Appointeeship, I have listed the following:
The administration and claiming of individual’s benefits Appealing Benefit decisions if required Welfare Benefit Assessments Liaison with the previous customers Appointee to relinquish and start appointeeship Access to Dosh suite of Assessment and Money Plan forms such as Money Plans Access to Internet Banking – Bacs payments Best Interest Decision form and process – coordination for major purchases (if people do not already have bank accounts) Individual Dosh (Barclays) bank accounts Support with Direct Debits and Standing Orders for their utility bills Assistance with Fairer Charging assessments To be a member of the customer’s Circle of Support A ‘Named Person’ (a local representative that is both a Financial Advocate and carries out the
role of Appointee) A local Dosh representative (attending reviews, meeting with Circles of Support, responding
to emergencies which require a personalised quick response) Dosh’s MD - I am involved in clearing Best Interest Decisions, authorisation of internet bank
payments etc Dosh Financial Administrator and Dosh Administrators who provide back office support for
our customers Internet Banking facilities and Docuware – electronic administrative software
